Incheon Metropolitan City launches 2025 Tourism Souvenir Contest to gather creative ideas


Incheon Metropolitan City announced it will host the 2025 Incheon Tourism Souvenir Contest to discover practical souvenirs that capture the unique identity of the city and create lasting memories for visitors.

The contest is open to a wide range of categories, including crafts, manufactured goods, processed foods, local specialties, and hybrid products that can be marketed to domestic and international tourists.

Entries will be accepted from October 13 to 15 at the Incheon Tourism Association. Individuals or businesses wishing to participate must visit in person during the submission period and provide both an application form and a finished product.






Incheon Metropolitan City presents “Opera Fun Fun Classic” 


Incheon Metropolitan City announced it will hold the Soso Concert at Michuhol Cultural Center, operated by the Incheon Federation of Artistic and Cultural Organizations (FACO), on Wednesday, September 24 at 7 p.m.

The performance will showcase a mix of vocal works, instrumental performances, and stage acts.

Highlights include “We Are the Handsome Men,” “The River of My Heart,” “This Is the Moment” from the musical Jekyll & Hyde, and the “Largo al factotum” aria from The Barber of Seville.






Incheon Metropolitan City confirms 2025 temperament test schedule for fierce dogs


Incheon Metropolitan City announced it has finalized the 2025 temperament test schedule required for permits to raise fierce dogs.

Under the revised Animal Protection Act, effective April 2024, owners of fierce dogs must complete registration, neutering, and liability insurance before obtaining a permit by the October 26 deadline.

This year’s tests will be held four times at Incheon Finance High School, the same venue as last year.

Since launching the program last year, Incheon has issued permits for 24 dogs. The city is encouraging owners to participate this year through notices sent by mail, phone, and text message.






Seo-gu holds suicide prevention awareness campaign 


Seo-gu in Incheon announced that it will hold a suicide prevention awareness campaign today, marking World Suicide Prevention Day.

The campaign will feature activities such as “Pink Mailbox,” where residents write letters to themselves as a form of self-care, and an OX quiz event using a roulette game. 

A district official expressed hope that the event will help foster a culture of respect for life in everyday life and contribute to creating a community where people can live warmly and safely together. 






Namdong-gu will modernize six traditional markets 


Namdong-gu will invest 2.2 billion won to modernize traditional market facilities. 

The district announced that six projects were selected in the 2026 Traditional Market Modernization Program.

Key projects include installing a new canopy at Mansu Market, fully replacing the arcade at Moraenae Market, and building a customer center at Jangseungbaegi Market.
