Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, Digital Trade Support Center “deXter” Opens


Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority said it held the opening ceremony of the Incheon Digital Trade Support Center (deXter) yesterday (29th) afternoon at Incheon Technopark.

The ceremony was attended by Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Incheon Technopark (ITP), local companies, and university students.

The center will connect with KOTRA’s four digital trade platforms to support the whole export process of local companies.

Through this, Incheon will strengthen a non-face-to-face export support system based on digital trade and grow as an innovation hub to improve the global competitiveness of local companies.




 

Global Wellbeing Spa & Resort Project in Golden Harbor


A project to build a European-style global wellbeing spa & resort by the sea in Golden Harbor will begin in earnest.

Incheon Free Economic Zone said yesterday (29th) afternoon that it signed the basic agreement for the “Terme Global Healing Spa & Resort” project.

According to the agreement, Terme Korea will develop a European-style healing spa & resort with a unique transparent glass dome design in the Golden Harbor area of Songdo 9-district, with a total project cost estimated at 850.8 billion won.





 

Incheon City to Hold “Chuseok Folk Experience Event” at Wolmi Park


Incheon Wolmi Park Office said it will hold the “Chuseok Folk Experience Event” from October 5 to 7 for three days at the traditional garden (Yangjindang) in Wolmi Park.

The event is designed to remind people of the meaning of Chuseok, Korea’s traditional holiday, and to share the festive atmosphere with citizens and tourists through various experiences.

In particular, programs such as making traditional food and folk games will allow family visitors to learn and enjoy traditional culture directly, contributing to the spread of leisure culture.

For the first time in Korea, Incheon Office of Education proposed a “Borderline Intelligence Student Class Module (draft).”

The module is a unit of class with one integrated theme, providing information for students to learn knowledge and skills suited to their goals and forming part of the whole curriculum.

The draft module includes guidance methods by detailed areas, additional support items, and case-based strategies, with group discussion and presentations to increase practical use in schools.





 

Incheon Office of Education Distributes Teaching Aids for “Easy and Fun Math”


Incheon Office of Education said it distributed self-developed teaching aids and textbooks to 150 elementary school classes to support “Easy and Fun Math.”

Based on a prior survey, demand was high for teaching aids in the areas of numbers and operations, and shapes and measurement. The Office formed three teams of elementary teachers to create materials: addition/subtraction for grade 1, multiplication tables for grade 2, and congruence/symmetry units for grade 5.

The materials, including number model pieces, activity boards, multiplication game boards, symmetry boards, rotation boards, as well as student workbooks and teacher guides, were distributed to schools.







Ganghwa Astronomy and Science Center to Hold “Chuseok Moon Viewing Event”


Incheon Ganghwa-gun said it will hold the “Chuseok Moon Viewing Event” at Ganghwa Astronomy and Science Center from October 3 to 9.

The event is planned to match the long holiday that includes Chuseok, National Foundation Day, and Hangul Day, and will offer special memories to family visitors with various programs and experiences.

In particular, on October 4, the event will connect with NASA’s “International Observe the Moon Night,” giving people the chance to observe the moon together with citizens worldwide. To celebrate, a fusion Korean music team will perform a “Starlight Moonlight Concert,” and visitors can also join an instrument experience event.

Michuhol-gu to Improve Two Old Children’s Parks


Incheon Michuhol-gu said it will carry out environment improvement projects for two old children’s parks.

The target parks are Duri Children’s Park and Samho Children’s Park, which were built over 20 years ago and now face aging facilities and lack of amenities. A total of 400 million won will be invested, and the project will be completed by December.

An official from Michuhol-gu said, “We will finish the project on time to provide visitors with safe and pleasant park environments.”

Incheon Songam Museum of Art said it will hold the free art history lecture “Songam Art Academy” for citizens starting October 22.

The 16th Songam Art Academy will cover Korean architecture, a theme not addressed before, and will run every Wednesday at 2 p.m. for four weeks from October 22.
