Incheon Metropolitan City will host the 2025 Hanbok Festival on October 11 at the Incheon Aetul Garden at City Hall, marking Incheon Citizens’ Day on October 15 and Hanbok Day on October 21.

Under the theme “Moments of Hanbok Connecting Life,” the festival will offer performances, interactive programs, and exhibitions as a citizen-centered cultural event.

City officials said they will continue efforts to promote the popularity and global recognition of Hanbok.

Incheon Metropolitan City will host the 2025 Incheon Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival on October 11 at Seagull Hall in Wolmido, one of the city’s landmark tourist destinations. 

The festival is designed to showcase Incheon’s rich intangible heritage and highlight the importance of preserving and passing down traditions. Visitors will be able to enjoy performances and exhibitions featuring the city’s designated cultural assets. 

As the festival takes place during the Chuseok holiday, it will offer citizens and tourists alike the chance to experience the beauty and spirit of Korean tradition.






Incheon City to Host Folk Culture Experience Event for Chuseok


Incheon Metropolitan City will hold the 2025 Chuseok Folk Culture Experience on October 9 at the Incheon Dohobu Government Office.

The event is designed to celebrate Korea’s traditional holiday by offering citizens hands-on opportunities to enjoy folk games and traditional crafts.

The program will begin with a candy seller’s performance. Visitors can also enjoy seven traditional games, including archery, tuho, and jegichagi, as well as 12 craft activities such as lantern making and miniature hat making.






Ganghwa-do to Host 17th Shrimp Paste Festival


The 17th Ganghwa Shrimp Paste Festival will be held from October 10 to 12 at Oepo Port in Naega-myeon, Ganghwa-gun, Incheon.

The event highlights Ganghwa’s specialty product, shrimp paste, as the nation’s largest production site, and seeks to boost domestic seafood consumption amid market challenges.

During the three-day festival, visitors can purchase fresh, high-quality shrimp paste at affordable prices and take part in a variety of food and cultural activities.






Jung-gu to Host Yeongjong Wind Path Riding Festa


Jung-gu in Incheon will hold the first-ever “Yeongjong Wind Path Riding Festa” on October 18 at Yeongjong Seaside Park, celebrating the arrival of the autumn festival season.

The event aims to promote Yeongjong International City as a rising cycling destination, including the 300-ri bicycle trail, and to encourage greater bicycle use among residents.

Riders will enjoy a parade-style route through the park, taking in scenic views of the Incheon coastline. Participants can join in either the general or family category, depending on their skill level.






Dong-gu to Designate Hospitals and Pharmacies Open During Chuseok Holiday


Dong-gu in Incheon will operate designated hospitals and pharmacies during the Chuseok holiday to maintain emergency medical services and minimize healthcare gaps.

From October 3 to 9, Incheon Medical Center and Incheon Baek Hospital, both emergency medical institutions, will run 24-hour emergency rooms. In addition, 86 clinics and 34 pharmacies will participate voluntarily as open facilities during the holiday.

Information on hospitals and pharmacies open over the Chuseok holiday can be obtained by calling 129 (Health and Welfare Call Center), 119 (Emergency Management Center), or 120 (Michuhol Call Center), and is also available on the Emergency Medical Portal (www.e-gen.or.kr) and the E-Gen app.






Gyeyang-gu Launches ‘Stamp Tour Event’ Along Gyeyang Araon Artway


Gyeyang-gu in Incheon is holding a ‘Stamp Tour Event’ along the Gyeyang Araon Artway throughout October.

The event celebrates the recent creation of the artway and aims to promote local tourist attractions while boosting the regional economy. 

Participants can complete missions by scanning QR codes at various stamp points along the artway, after which discount coupons for Gyeyang Araon food trucks will be automatically issued.
