Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok Hosts Welcome Dinner for APEC 2025 Finance Ministers’ Meeting


Incheon Metropolitan City hosted a welcome dinner on October 21 in Songdo for the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Finance Ministers’ Meeting.

The event was co-organized with the Ministry of Economy and Finance and attended by over 220 delegates, including finance ministers and vice ministers from the 21 APEC member economies, as well as representatives from international organizations.

Participants discussed strategies for sustainable growth and cooperation in response to changes in the global economic environment, including the spread of artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and demographic shifts.





Incheon to Host the "Yeonan Pier Blue Crab Festival" Filled with the Flavors and Festivities of Autumn


In celebration of autumn, Incheon Metropolitan City announced it will host the Yeonan Pier Blue Crab Festival from October 25 (Saturday) to 26 (Sunday) in front of the Incheon Complex Fish Market at Yeonan Pier in Jung-gu.

The festival aims to promote the excellence of blue crabs—one of Incheon’s signature seafood—and to boost seafood consumption. The event will feature a variety of sales, hands-on activities, and performances for citizens and tourists alike.

Highlights include a special discounted blue crab sale which allows visitors to enjoy its fresh taste at an affordable price, and interactive programs including a blue crab auction, and a blue crab ramen cooking experience.





Incheon to Host “2025 Baedari Book Festival” — Sharing the Romance and Nostalgia of Secondhand Bookstores


Incheon Metropolitan City will host the 2025 Baedari Book Festival on October 25, from 11 AM to 6 PM, along the Baedari Secondhand Bookstore Alley in Dong-gu.

First launched in 2019, the Baedari Book Festival is a representative cultural event that aims to breathe new life into the local bookstore culture of the old downtown area and to foster a stronger reading culture among citizens by reviving the romantic charm and long-standing history of the Baedari Secondhand Bookstore Alley, which began in the 1950s and flourished through the 1960s and 1970s. 

This year’s festival promises to be even more enriching, as eight local bookstores in the Baedari neighborhood come together to offer an expanded variety of cultural experiences.






Scent of Art Along the Alleys of Paris — A Special Lecture at Incheon Metropolitan City Museum


The Incheon Metropolitan City Museum will host a public lecture titled “A Stroll Through Art Museums in the Alleys of Paris” on October 24 at 2 PM, featuring guest speaker former Professor Kim Jeong-hwa from the Graduate School of Culture Technology at KAIST.

This is the second lecture in the museum’s special series titled “The Joy of Art: Perspectives from Four Masters” which will explore how small art museums nestled in the alleys of Paris bring art into everyday life.

Unlike the Louvre, Orsay, or Pompidou, this lecture will offer a deeper appreciation for the quiet yet profound charm such as the Musée Delacroix, Musée Marmottan Monet, and Musée Picasso Paris.





Incheon Metropolitan Police Holds Ceremony Marking 80th Police Day


Incheon Metropolitan Police held a ceremony at its main auditorium on October 21 to commemorate the 80th Police Day.

The event was attended by around 350 participants and featured a visit to the memorial for fallen officers, commendations for distinguished service, the recitation of the police anthem, and a symphony orchestra performance.

A police official called on participants to “do our utmost to make Incheon the safest city possible.”
