Incheon City Successfully Holds the 16th INK Concert

The 16th INK Concert (Incheon K-POP Concert), hosted by Incheon City and organized by the Incheon Tourism Organization, successfully concluded on October 25 at Sangsang Platform 1883 Open Port Plaza.

According to the city, about 13,000 people attended the concert, including 7,000 international visitors, showing that Incheon has firmly established itself as a global K-pop city.

Through this event, Incheon once again demonstrated its potential to become a city that serves as a fusion platform for not only music but also K-Culture as a whole.

Incheon City Highlights the Importance of Peace Through Unification Site Experience

The “Unification Site Cultural Experience” program, conducted by Incheon City using the special characteristics of the border area, successfully concluded after five months with the participation of 741 citizens.

This program was designed to allow citizens to visit the divided sites in person and reflect on the meaning of unification and the importance of peace.

It provided citizens with an opportunity to directly experience the significance of unification and peace, resulting in a high level of satisfaction.

Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra to Recruit New Members

The Incheon Culture & Arts Center is publicly recruiting new members for the Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra (Artistic Director Choi Soo-yeol), which leads the city’s cultural development through high-quality performances.

The recruitment fields include ▲1 Principal Clarinet, ▲1 Principal Horn, ▲1 Viola, and ▲1 Double Bass as permanent members, as well as ▲1 Cello as a temporary member.

Applicants must be under 60 years old as of the announcement date and possess the professional skills and abilities required for the position.

Incheon City Begins Private Investment Project for Jungbong Tunnel

The construction of Jungbong Tunnel, connecting Gyeongseo Samgeori in Gyeongseo-dong, Seo-gu to Geomdan 2 Intersection in Wanggil-dong, will move forward as a private investment project.

Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it has decided to promote the construction of the Jungbong Tunnel through private investment and has issued a public notice for third-party proposals for the project.

The project will consist of a 4.57 km four-lane tunnel, with a total estimated cost of 342.7 billion, connecting Gyeongseo-dong and Wanggil-dong in Seo-gu.

Namdong-gu, Incheon to Host 2025 Children’s Drawing Contest for Better Food Culture

Namdong-gu, Incheon announced the launch of the “2025 Children’s Drawing Contest for Food Culture Improvement” to celebrate the 4th anniversary of its local brand “Soraechan.”

Now in its third year, the contest is open to children from local daycare centers, kindergartens, and elementary schools.

Participants can freely draw pictures related to healthy food culture on A3-size paper and submit their works in person or by mail to the Food Sanitation Division of Namdong-gu Office by November 19.

Jung-gu, Incheon to Hold “2025 Yeongjong After-Work Concert”

The Incheon Jung-gu Cultural Foundation will hold a special cultural event, the “2025 Yeongjong After-Work Concert,” tomorrow (28th) evening for citizens on their way home from work.

Ongjin-gun, Incheon Enacts Ordinance to Promote and Support Island Gardens

Ongjin-gun, Incheon announced the enactment of the “Ordinance on the Promotion and Support of Island Gardens,” which will take effect in 2026 to promote small-scale farming and expand lifestyle agriculture in island areas.

Under the new ordinance, owners of farmland smaller than 1,000㎡—previously excluded from organic fertilizer support programs because they were not registered as agricultural businesses—will now be eligible for assistance.

This ordinance will enable island residents to grow safe crops using organic fertilizers in their gardens, encouraging the spread of small-scale farming in daily life.

Incheon Environment Corporation Holds Resource Recycling Education Campaign with Citizens

Incheon Environment Corporation operated environmental education booths at various public events throughout October to raise awareness of resource recycling.

The corporation participated in the “3rd Incheon Love Walking Festival” at Incheon Grand Park in Namdong-gu and the “Incheon Sea Love Cultural Festival” at Galmaegihol in Wolmido, Jung-gu, on October 25.

At these events, citizens learned how to properly separate recyclables and took part in quiz activities that promoted the importance of resource recycling.
