Incheon City Begins Private Investment Project for Jungbong Tunnel


The construction of Jungbong Tunnel, connecting Gyeongseo Samgeori in Gyeongseo-dong, Seo-gu to Geomdan 2 Intersection in Wanggil-dong, will move forward as a private investment project.

Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it has decided to promote the construction of the Jungbong Tunnel through private investment and has issued a public notice for third-party proposals for the project.

The project will consist of a 4.57 km four-lane tunnel, with a total estimated cost of 342.7 billion, connecting Gyeongseo-dong and Wanggil-dong in Seo-gu.

Namdong-gu, Incheon announced the launch of the “2025 Children’s Drawing Contest for Food Culture Improvement” to celebrate the 4th anniversary of its local brand “Soraechan.”

Ongjin-gun, Incheon announced the enactment of the “Ordinance on the Promotion and Support of Island Gardens,” which will take effect in 2026 to promote small-scale farming and expand lifestyle agriculture in island areas.

Under the new ordinance, owners of farmland smaller than 1,000㎡—previously excluded from organic fertilizer support programs because they were not registered as agricultural businesses—will now be eligible for assistance.
