Incheon City Wins Encouragement Award for ‘Settlement GPS Model for Foreign Workers’ at Ministry of the Interior and Safety Competition
Incheon City announced that on December 1 it won the Encouragement Award at the “2025 Best Local Government Practices for Supporting Foreign Residents Competition,” hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, for its program “Foreign Workers Settlement GPS: Governance, Policy & Safety!”
Among 226 local governments nationwide, 66 submitted cases, and after expert review and online public voting (ON Communication), only 8 finalists advanced to the final round.
Incheon presented its innovative “Foreign Workers Settlement GPS” model and received the Encouragement Award.
Incheon City Launches Upgraded ‘Urban Landscape Archive’ Website and Opens Online Photo Book Service
Incheon City announced that starting December 2 it has renewed the “Incheon Urban Landscape Archive Website,” created through the “Urban Landscape Change Record and Management System Upgrade Project,” and will now offer its landscape photo books online.
Since 2008, the city has continued the “Landscape Recording Project” to document and build a database of Incheon’s changing urban scenery.
The improved website is expected to expand the use of these records and help promote the city’s beautiful landscapes more widely.

Incheon City to Conduct Daily Drunk-Driving Checks Until Early Next Year
Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency said that it will carry out intensive drunk-driving enforcement until January, together with the Local Police Committee, for the year-end and New Year period.
The police will conduct daily drunk-driving checks, and every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, all 10 police stations in Incheon City will carry out joint focused enforcement.
The agency explained that continuous enforcement this year reduced drunk-driving accidents to 483 cases from January to October, a 6.4% decrease from last year.
Incheon Launches the ‘Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign’
The Community Chest of Korea in Incheon held the opening ceremony for the ‘Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign’ yesterday (the 1st) at Incheon City Hall’s Aettre Square, starting activities with a fundraising goal of 10.88 billion.
The campaign will run for 62 days, from December 1 to January 31, 2026.

Incheon City delivered a special donation of 10 million to the Korean Red Cross Incheon Chapter during the ‘Jump (JUMP) 2026 Red Cross Incheon’ event held yesterday at the central hall of Incheon City Hall.
The event shared the direction of Red Cross humanitarian activities in Incheon and marked the start of the 2026 Red Cross membership and fundraising activities, encouraging citizen participation.
The Korean Red Cross set December 1 to March 31 as the 2026 intensive fundraising period and plans to continue promoting participation and sharing activities among citizens.
Incheon City Wins Top Award in Child Protection System for Third Consecutive Year
Incheon City received the top award for the third consecutive year in the national evaluation of city and district child protection systems led by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, strengthening its position as a leading local government in child welfare.
The award recognizes Incheon City’s continuous efforts and innovative policies to protect children’s rights and ensure safe growth.
Incheon has developed and expanded policies across the entire child protection system, from the occurrence of children in need to support after protection ends, strengthening the system comprehensively.
