Incheon to Conduct Comprehensive Review of Licensed Real Estate Agents


Incheon Metropolitan City will conduct a comprehensive review of licensed real estate agents to improve the accuracy of qualification records and prevent illegal brokerage activities. The city noted that it has faced difficulties managing license information, particularly when certificate holders pass away and the return of their licenses is delayed. The review is aimed at preventing practices such as the unauthorized use of licenses issued in the names of deceased agents and at strengthening the overall management system for licensed real estate brokers. 

The inspection will cover 31,975 individuals who were issued real estate agent licenses by the city from the first national examination in 1985 through the 36th examination in 2025.

Incheon says it will operate a summer natural disaster response period from May 15 to October 15 to protect residents from heavy rain, heat waves, and other seasonal hazards. Through the inspections, authorities will verify the on-site response system and discuss areas for improvement.
