Special Olympics Korea National Summer Games to be Held in Incheon
The 17th Special Olympics Korea National Summer Games, the largest sports festival for people with developmental disabilities in South Korea, will be held in Incheon from August 16th to 19th.
This event, officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), is held every four years, rotating locations nationwide, except in years when the World Summer Games are held.
A total of 2,479 participants will compete in 15 sports at over 10 venues, including the Incheon Munhak Stadium.
Incheon Launches 2024 Island Stay Program ‘Elegant Island Living’
The city of Incheon has launched the 2024 travel package for its exclusive island stay program, ‘Elegant Incheon Island Living.’
Targeting 21 islands within Incheon, including 주문도 and 볼음도 in Ganghwa Gun, and 백령도, 소야도, and 굴업도 in Ongjin Gun, this program offers various experiential activities to showcase the islands’ charm.
An Incheon city official remarked, “We aim to boost the income of island residents and provide tourists with memorable and rejuvenating experiences through this initiative.”
Incheon City Launches Initiative to Support Blockchain Startups and Global Expansion
Incheon Metropolitan City is launching a new initiative to support the growth of local blockchain companies and assist their entry into international markets.
On August 8th, Incheon City hosted the ‘Incheon Blockchain Company Networking Day’ at 제물포 Smart Town.
This event was organized for companies participating in the ‘2024 Development Project for Incheon Blockchain Company by Their Growth Stage’ and ‘2024 Incheon Blockchain Global Expansion Support’ projects.
An official from Incheon City stated, “We will continue our efforts to make Incheon a hub city for blockchain.”
Incheon City to Support Promotional Video Production for Food Hygiene Establishments
Incheon City has announced a new initiative to support the production of promotional videos for food hygiene establishments. The project will be carried out by the Incheon Food Industry Promotion Support Center, the first of its kind in the country.
The initiative will assist food manufacturing and processing companies, as well as food service establishments, with the entire process of creating promotional videos, including shooting, editing, and uploading.
The aim is to boost brand awareness and sales through high-quality videos that highlight the production and cooking processes of key products.
An official from Incheon City mentioned that this project will help food hygiene establishments improve their digital marketing skills and provide growth opportunities despite the challenging economic environment, ultimately contributing to the revitalization of the domestic food industry.
