Korean Women’s International Network Conference Opens… Over 300 Leaders Participate

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced that the “23rd Korean Women’s International Network” (KOWIN), bringing together over 300 Korean female leaders from both Korea and abroad, will be held in Incheon from the 29th to the 31st. 

This conference, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and Incheon, will be held over three days at the Grand Hyatt Incheon Hotel in Jung-gu, Incheon. 

The Korean Women’s International Network is an event that has been held since 2001 to promote communication among Korean women in various fields both locally and internationally, and to establish a foundation for international cooperation. This year marks the 23rd year of the event. 

On the 30th, international participants will visit G-Tower, the SangSang Platform, and the Incheon Urban History Museum in Songdo, Incheon, and will have the opportunity to experience Korean culture through activities such as Hanji crafts. 





Incheon Holds Various Events and Promotional Activities at the “Love Your Hometown Day” Event  

Incheon will participate in the 2nd “Love Your Hometown Day” celebration, where they plan to hold various events and promotional activities. 

This event, held for the second time following last year’s success, commemorates September 4th, designated as “Love Your Hometown Day” through a nationwide public contest. It aims to express gratitude to donors who support their hometowns through contributions. 

This year, the event will be organized by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security and will take place from September 4th to 7th at the Hwabaek International Convention Center in Gyeongju. Local governments from across the country will participate. 

During the event, Incheon will operate a “Incheon, Love for Hometown Donation Program Promotion booth” to inform visitors about the donation program and encourage donation. 





Incheon Delivers Hope to 700 Households in Crisis With “Christmas in August”

The “Christmas in August” campaign, hosted by Incheon and the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, has been successfully completed.

This campaign was a special fundraising event organized through public-private partnership to bring hope to children in households in crisis, and a total of 700 million won in donations was collected. 

The campaign, themed “Hello, Future,” began with a Santa Challenge by Incheon Mayor Yoon Jeong-bok and garnered significant attention through a 98-day sponsorship relay. 

The fundraised money will be used to support children in households in crisis, including funding for children who do not have savings in the DiDIM Seed Bank, emergency living expenses, and improvements to living conditions. 






The “E-um” Exhibition at J Gallery Features 17 Prominent Artists

The “E-um” Exhibition, featuring 17 artists from various genres, will held at J Gallery on the first floor of the Jeomulpo High School Annex In Jung-gu, Incheon, from September 3rd to 27th. 

This exhibition will feature docent experience, where students explain the exhibited works. 

The “E-um” exhibition project is an initiative by the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education to enhance arts education in schools. It involves creating exhibition spaces within schools, allowing students to experience and appreciate artworks closely in their daily school environment thereby fostering their cultural sensitivity.
