Incheon City Nurtures Experts to Revitalize the Gaehangjang
Incheon City recently held the completion ceremony for the "Gaehangjang Regional Expert Training Program (3rd Edition)."
The program is designed to train regional experts who can actively contribute to the economy and culture of the Gaehangjang.
Graduates of the program will have the opportunity to join the "Gaehangjang Youth Council," where they will collaborate with various stakeholders in the area, explore new business opportunities, and contribute to the revitalization of the Gaehangjang and the local community.
Incheon City Selected as Best Institution for Wildfire Prevention
Incheon City has been selected as the top institution in the Korea Forest Service's "2024 Wildfire Prevention and Response Excellence Evaluation."
The evaluation, which was conducted across 17 cities nationwide, assessed eight criteria, including wildfire prevention, public awareness campaigns, preparedness and response, and collaboration.
Incheon received high marks in areas such as illegal burning enforcement, imposition of fines, budget execution for wildfire prevention, and educational programs, earning the honor of being named the best institution.
During the wildfire prevention period, the city operated a wildfire prevention headquarters and established an effective prevention system by organizing 132 specialized wildfire prevention and suppression personnel, along with 1,500 general public servants.
Incheon City Delivers 4,015 Boxes of Kimchi to Vulnerable Groups
On November 23, Incheon City prepared approximately 24,203kg of kimchi (2,900 boxes of 7kg and 1,115 boxes of 3.5kg) at the "Incheon Kimchi Sharing Festival" held at City Hall Aetul Square, which was then delivered to low-income households and social welfare facilities.
The event was organized by the Incheon City Social Welfare Council and marks its 11th edition this year, since it began in 2014.
Mayor of Incheon City, Yoo JeongBok expressed, "I hope the kimchi, made with love and care by volunteers, will help those in need have a warmer winter."
Incheon Hosts Orchestra Ensemble Charity Concert for Independent Youth
On November 22, the Red Cross Incheon Chapter held a "Charity Concert for Accompanying Independent Youth" at the Elim Art Center in Seo-gu.
Organized by the Incheon Women's Volunteer Advisory Committee, the event was designed to promote charitable activities and support for independent youth, raise awareness of the work of the Incheon Red Cross, and encourage a culture of community giving.
The donations collected during the concert will be used to provide essential support for the stable living and growth of independent youth.
