IFEZ to Establish Bio Open Lab in Songdo International Business District
A new open-innovation hub in the bio field will be established in the Songdo International Business District.
Yesterday (27th), IFEZ announced it had signed MOU for the SPARKPLEX project at Incheon City Hall.
The SPARKPLEX development will involve the construction of two 35-story buildings in Block F3-3 of the Songdo International Business District, with an estimated investment of 500 billion KRW.
Once completed, SPARKPLEX will position Songdo as a global bio innovation hub.
Incheon’s Yeon-su District Will Kick Off Christmas Tree Cultural Festival on the 29th
Yeon-su District of Incheon will hold 'Christmas Tree Cultural Festival' from November 29th to January 15th next year.
Large Christmas trees has been installed at the Yeonsu District Office Hanmaeum Square and the second office building. The office will light up the trees vibrantly every day from 5 PM to 10 PM during the whole festival period.
The lighting ceremony on the 29th will feature performances by a children’s choir and ballet troupe.
Bupyeong's Giljuro Yang Beojeumnamu Road Recognized as Incheon’s Premier Street
Incheon Metropolitan City has once again recognized Bupyeong District as the top performer in the 2024 Incheon Special Road Landscaping Project.
This year, Bupyeong was selected as the 'Best Institution' for creating the Giljuro Yang Beojeumnamu Road, a scenic tree-lined street.
The Special Road Landscaping Project focuses on creating unique and aesthetically pleasing street environments by considering the growth conditions of street trees and their surroundings. This year’s evaluation process included document review, presentations and expert evaluations.
Bupyeong took first place in rankings, followed by Michuhol in second, Namdong in third, and Gyeyang in fourth.
Incheon Education Office to Launch Online Winter Camp for Elementary School Students
The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will offer an online winter learning camp, which is titled 'My Winter Break ON,' for 500 elementary students in grades of 3 to 6.
The camp, designed to motivate students and improve their learning abilities, will include activities such as how to keep an error log and step-by-step reading strategies to enhance self-directed learning and reinforce basic academic skills.
Applications for the 'My Winter Break ON' camp will be accepted from November 27th to December 6th. Detailed schedules and participation information can be found on the Incheon Education Office's blog or school websites.
