IFEZ Boosts Startup Expansion in Europe through German Track


The Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) successfully concluded the German track of its Boost Startup program, aimed at supporting startups’ global expansion.

Four selected companies (SHeco, Avairtual, Kaimee, and Nurie AI) signed nine memorandums of understanding (MOUs) during their visit to Germany from November 25 to 29.

Starting in July, IFEZ facilitated over 100 consultations with potential investors and partners across Germany and Europe, culminating in nine MOUs at the Asia Berlin Summit.

An IFEZ representative stated, “We will provide continued support and network management to ensure successful market entry in Europe.”






Incheon City Achieves Top 5 in UN Sustainability Innovation Awards


Incheon City was named among the top five in the nation-city category at the 2024 UN Sustainability Innovation Awards held in Munich, Germany.

This prestigious award, presented by UNIDO and the German Economic Council, recognizes contributions toward achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Incheon is the first Asian city to reach the top five, earning praise for its concrete goals, actionable roadmaps, and collaborative governance with civil society and international organizations.





Incheon to Begin Central Park Underground Parking Construction


Incheon City recently held a resident briefing on its plans to build an underground public parking lot in Central Neighborhood Park.

With a budget of 36 billion KRW, the project will feature a two-level underground structure accommodating 294 parking spaces near the Namdong Arts Center. Construction is set to begin in August next year.

Originally scheduled for March, the project was delayed due to a budget increase from 28 to 36 billion KRW, requiring an additional central investment review.

The city plans to keep residents informed and proceed with administrative steps following the briefing.





Incheon City Council Spreads Warmth through Year-End Donations


The Incheon City Council is actively engaging in year-end charity efforts to foster a culture of giving in the local community.

In collaboration with Ganghwa County, the council will deliver Ganghwa Island rice (10kg each) to 365 low-income households, as part of a 2022 agreement to promote Ganghwa’s local specialties.

This initiative aligns with the Hope 2025 Campaign by the Incheon Community Chest of Korea, contributing to the goal of raising the “thermometer of hope” to 100 degrees.
