Incheon Expands Local Product Purchases with Enhanced Incentives.


The Incheon Metropolitan City is launching a new initiative to boost the purchase of local products by the city and its affiliated organizations.

To promote the purchase of regional goods, the city plans to strengthen incentives. This includes introducing mayoral commendations and monetary awards for outstanding contributors. 

Additionally, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with exceptional local product purchase records will receive interest subsidies on business stabilization loans.

Furthermore, Incheon aims to increase sales of locally manufactured products by promoting the "Incheon e-Eum" local currency app and revitalizing the "Incheon Direct Purchase" online shopping mall.






37 Incheon-Based Companies Rank Among Nation's Top 1,000 Enterprises


According to the Incheon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, 37 companies based in Incheon have been included in the list of South Korea’s top 1,000 enterprises by revenue.

Among the country’s special and metropolitan cities, Incheon ranks second in the number of top 1,000 companies, following Seoul, which has 539.







Korea Coast Guard Expands Rewards for Criminal Arrests—Budget Increased 12-Fold.


The Korea Coast Guard (KCG) has announced an enhanced reward system for those who contribute to the arrest of maritime criminals.

Since 2020, the reward budget had been capped at 5 million KRW. However, this year, it has been increased 12-fold to 60 million KRW.

The KCG will provide financial rewards to individuals who assist investigations by reporting criminal whereabouts, aiding in arrests, preventing terrorist activities, identifying suspects, submitting crucial evidence, or offering other forms of investigative cooperation. The final amount will be determined through a review by the Reward Committee.






Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority Completes Land Acquisition for ‘Golden Harbor’ European-Style Spa Complex.


The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZA) has completed the land acquisition process for the development of a European-style spa complex in Golden Harbor, near Incheon Port.

IFEZA plans to sign a land lease agreement with the global resort company Therme Group within the first half of this year to commence full-scale development.

Headquartered in Austria, Therme Group aims to establish a botanical garden-style spa complex featuring a resort, spa, and water park.

The Golden Harbor project is part of an initiative to develop a marine tourism landmark near the Incheon Port International Passenger Terminal, consisting of 11 designated land plots.
