Incheon Provides Strong Childcare Support with Angel Allowance

Since July last year, Incheon Metropolitan City has been implementing its unique birth policy, the "I-Plus 100 Million Dream" initiative. This program provides transportation subsidies for pregnant women, the Angel Allowance, and the Child Dream Allowance.

From this year, the city has further expanded support with the Mom’s Postpartum Care Subsidy, reducing the financial burden of childcare and promoting awareness to address low birth rates.

As part of this initiative, the Angel Allowance program provides financial support for children aged 1 to 7, offering 1.2 million KRW per year, totaling 8.4 million KRW per child. Eligible applicants must have lived in Incheon for at least one year with either parent registered as a resident, and the program is available for children born on or after January 1, 2023.
