Wycombe Abbey Selected as Preferred Bidder for Yeongjong International School


A prestigious British private school with a 129-year history has been selected as the preferred bidder for the establishment of an international school in Yeongjong, Incheon.

The city of Incheon announced that Wycombe Abbey, a private school in Buckinghamshire, UK, has been chosen as the preferred bidder for the international school project in Yeongjong’s Midan City foreign school foundation competition.

Founded in 1896, Wycombe Abbey has maintained a high standard of education and university placement, producing distinguished alumni in politics, law, and media.

The Yeongjong campus will offer the British A-Level or International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum and will grant the same academic qualifications as its UK campus.






Incheon City to Provide 1.2 Million in Welfare Points for Young SME Employees


Incheon Metropolitan Government will accept applications for its Incheon Young SME Employee Welfare Points Program from April 1 to April 10.

The initiative aims to encourage long-term employment among young workers by offering financial incentives to improve their overall work environment.

A total of 2,000 young employees will be selected, with each receiving 1.2 million in welfare points. This year, eligibility criteria have been eased to better accommodate the realities of young workers’ employment conditions.






Incheon to Expand Job Opportunities for Seniors


Incheon Metropolitan Government is launching a public competition to develop Incheon-Style Senior Jobs, accepting applications until April 22.

With a total budget of 1.2 billion, the city aims to select approximately 10 new job initiatives and provide funding for wages and operational costs for up to five months.

The competition is divided into three categories: Utilizing Senior Expertise, Community-Based Business Groups, Public Service Activities for Seniors

Organizations interested in participating can apply within the designated period.






2025 Intermittent Fasting Concert Returns to Incheon Arts Center


With the arrival of spring, Incheon Arts Center is bringing back its Intermittent Fasting Concert (also known as Gan.Dan.Con), a lunchtime cultural experience for music lovers.

First introduced last year, Gan.Dan.Con offers an open stage for those willing to forgo a meal in exchange for artistic enjoyment.

From April 14 to April 24, the concerts will take place every Monday through Thursday at noon for approximately 40 minutes at the outdoor plaza of the Incheon Arts Center’s cultural complex.

Providing a refreshing midday escape, Gan.Dan.Con is free to attend with no age restrictions or reservations required.
