IFEZ to give extra 7.2 billion over 3 years to Korea‑Stanford Center


The Korea‑Stanford Center in Songdo will receive an extra 7.2 billion in government funding over three years.

IFEZ(Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority) said it will support the center’s running costs from next year until 2028 with the full 7.2 billion.

The center plans to reach full financial independence by 2030 and to win more global research projects thanks to this support.







Incheon launches studio program on unification


Incheon held a citizen workshop called “Hands‑On North‑South Craft: Unification Skill Plus” yesterday (30th) at the Incheon Unification Plus Center.

Through different craft activities, participants learned about both Koreas’ landmarks and daily life, helping them understand unification better and build public support.

This event will regularly take place at 10 a.m. on the last Monday of each month at the same center.






Incheon to host social enterprise fair on July 4


To mark the 18th “Social Enterprise Day,” Incheon will hold a “Value Sharing + Social Economy Collaboration Fair” on July 4 at City Hall’s main lobby.

The fair, organized by the Social Economy Support Center, will feature 31 local social enterprises selling handmade snacks, drinks, natural soaps, and more, with product demos and visitor events.

As of end of May 2025, Incheon has 270 social enterprises, 70 provisional and 200 certified that play key roles in boosting the local economy and social value.






Incheon hosts 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards to boost K‑content


Incheon and its tourism board are recruiting 100 front‑row “red carpet” fans for the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards by July 13.

This first‑ever streaming content awards ceremony covers dramas and variety shows from major OTT platforms.

By hosting the event, Incheon aims to build a strong brand as a K‑content hub and strengthen its cultural industries over a five‑year plan.







Superintendent Do to introduce AI‑based “Read‑Walk‑Write” education


In a press conference marking his third year in office yesterday (30th), Superintendent Do Sung‑hoon spoke about promoting AI‑based education built on “Read‑Walk‑Write.”

He said, “Humans and AI now coexist and work together in daily life,” and promised a five‑year plan to train all students in Incheon as future AI talents.

To achieve this, the education office will add AI integration centers and offer structured content from kindergarten through high school.







Education office to run video production academy


The Incheon Education Office will run a “Video Production Academy” to strengthen student-led video making, after the success of the 3rd Incheon Children & Youth Film Festival.

This academy offers hands‑on training for students and teachers—from planning to filming and editing—focused on building media communication and character.

A spokeswoman said they hope this academy will spread a culture of empathy and respect in schools.






Incheon Urban Museum opens summer “Outside Classroom” program


Incheon Urban History Museum, a branch of the city museum, will run a summer vacation education program called “Incheon Exploration Outside the Classroom” for elementary school groups from local child centers in August.

The program gives children in after‑school care centers a cultural experience and a space to build creativity during their summer break.

Students will learn by seeing and touching Incheon’s landmarks, symbols, transport, and food going beyond their classroom books.







Coffee Concert returns to remodeled small theater


Incheon Arts Center’s signature series, “Coffee Concert,” is returning to its remodeled small performance hall.

From August to December, a wide range of artists will present diverse programs to brighten the concerts.

Since 2008, the Coffee Concert has been held monthly on the third Wednesday at 2 p.m., with each ticket priced at 15,000 won, and open to everyone above elementary school age.
