Incheon Begins Relocation Project for Hangun and Yeonan Apartments
Incheon City said on the 30th that it paid about 23.1 billion to the Incheon Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries as part of the Hangun and Yeonan Apartment relocation project, covering the difference in national and public property exchange.
On June 12, the city signed a “Phase 2, Round 1 Shared and Private Property Exchange Agreement” with the residents of Hangun and Yeonan Apartments to push forward the long-awaited relocation project that residents had hoped for over the past 20 years. After this, the relocation committee paid the 23.1 billion difference on June 26, allowing the project to move forward rapidly.
Although the recent economic downturn and higher loan interest rates made it difficult for the committee to raise the funds, the payment on June 26 means the long-standing wish of the residents is finally becoming a reality.
