Samsung Biologics Selected as Preferred Negotiation Partner for Songdo Zone 11 Industrial Site
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) announced that it has selected Samsung Biologics as the preferred negotiation partner for the supply of industrial land within the high-tech industrial cluster of Songdo International City’s Zone 11.
Samsung Biologics, the sole bidder in the recent tender, was selected after scoring over 70 points in the project proposal evaluation held on June 30.
IFEZ plans to proceed with negotiations, aiming to sign the land sales contract by October, following a report to the Incheon City Investment Promotion Planning Committee scheduled for August.
Inha University Signs MOU with Incheon International Airport Corporation and Aerospace Industry-Academia Convergence Center to Nurture Aviation Talent
Inha University announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Incheon International Airport Corporation and the Aerospace Industry-Academia Convergence Center to foster specialized talent in the aviation sector.
Under the agreement, the parties will strengthen their partnership by establishing a support system for aviation talent development, jointly developing and operating educational programs, conducting collaborative research and development in aviation policy and technology, and working together on policy proposals and regulatory improvements.
Through this agreement, Inha University expects to accelerate the cultivation of customized talent in the aviation sector—a key strategic industry in the region—by sharing educational infrastructure, including human and material resources, with the participating institutions.
Michuhol Library in Incheon Successfully Concludes Training Program for Small Library Operators
Michuhol Library, operated by the Incheon Metropolitan City, announced the successful completion of its professional training program titled “Capacity-Building for Small Library Operators,” targeting librarians and managers of small libraries in the city.
As Incheon’s central metropolitan library, Michuhol Library conducts monthly professional training sessions aimed at enhancing the expertise of library staff and administrators.
The recent program was held over two sessions on June 25 and July 2, with around 50 participants attending. The training focused on essential professional knowledge required for the effective operation of small libraries.

The Incheon Culture & Arts Center is holding an open recruitment for the position of Artistic Director and Resident Choreographer of the Incheon City Dance Company, which is known for delivering high-quality performances that embrace both tradition and contemporary creation.

Incheon City to Launch 2025 Summer Craft Workshop Series
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will host the 2025 Summer Craft Workshop Series from July 29 to August 29 at 1883 Gaehang Salon, in collaboration with artisan studios in the Gaehangjang district, to promote citizen engagement in creative experiences.
The program features four hands-on workshops designed to let participants enjoy the pleasures of crafting in everyday life: mini cakes, mini rattan bags, bead bracelets and necklaces, and dried pollack wind chimes.
A total of 20 sessions will be held over five weeks, with each session accommodating up to 16 participants—for a total of 320 spots available.

Incheon City Launches ‘2025 Peace Tourism Experiential Content Contest’
Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Tourism Organization announced that they will host the 2025 Incheon Peace Tourism Experiential Content Contest from July 2 to 20, aiming to raise awareness of Incheon’s key peace tourism destinations and generate new tourism demand.
The contest seeks to discover citizen-participatory experiential content based on major sites that symbolize Incheon's peace and history—such as the Ganghwa Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), the Incheon Landing Operation site, and the Five West Sea Islands.
Selected teams will receive up to 20 million won in project funding, along with promotional and marketing support through the official channels of Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization.
