Incheon City Conducts On-Site Visit for 'Our Neighborhood City Hall'
Incheon City announced that it visited major pending issue sites in Dong-gu district as part of operating the 'Our Neighborhood City Hall' program in collaboration with the Incheon City Council.
Our Neighborhood City Hall is a field-oriented communication program launched after the 8th popularly elected administration took office, where the city council and city executive branch jointly visit sites of major civil complaints and pending projects in Incheon's 10 counties and districts to inspect project progress and seek solutions by listening to citizens' opinions.
During this visit to Dong-gu, the city inspected a total of 3 sites and listened to citizens' opinions, focusing on 2 major pending issues: ▲resolving parking difficulties due to Sungin underpass construction and expediting the project ▲revitalizing the Jemulpo Renaissance through the creation of marine waterfront spaces in the original downtown area.
Incheon City Successfully Concludes Collaborative Exhibition in Celebration of Social Enterprise Day
Incheon City held the 'Value Sharing+ Social Economy Collaborative Exhibition' on the 4th at the city hall central hall to commemorate the 18th anniversary of 'Social Enterprise Day.'
According to the city, 31 local social economy enterprises participated in this event, which was organized by the Incheon Social Economy Support Center.
The enterprises exhibited and sold various products including handmade snacks and beverages, natural soaps, and household items. The event venue featured product experience opportunities and interactive programs for visitors, receiving an enthusiastic response from citizens.
Incheon City Strengthens Water Quality Testing for Spring Water Sites During Summer
Incheon City will expand testing for pathogenic microorganisms that cause waterborne infectious diseases during summer to protect the health of citizens using spring water sites and ensure water quality safety.
The research institute currently conducts regular monthly inspections of 30 spring water sites across 6 counties and districts in the Incheon region.
Through this initiative, the city plans to further enhance water quality safety so that citizens can use spring water sites with peace of mind.
Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education and Inha University College of Medicine Sign MOU for 'Youth Health Management'
The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it signed a business agreement with Inha University College of Medicine on the 4th for youth health management and fostering talent in the healthcare and medical fields.
This agreement is part of the Office of Education's 'Incheon Youth Health and Medical Ownership' policy and Inha University College of Medicine's 'Regional Innovation-Centered University Support (RISE)' project, marking the first case nationwide where an education office and medical college collaborate on a joint curriculum.

Incheon City announced that it awarded certificates of commendation to 112 people, including 72 exemplary good deed citizens and 40 outstanding neighborhood and block heads, at the city hall conference room on the 4th.
Among the commendation recipients was pharmacist Park Yi-jin, who has been operating a 24-hour overnight pharmacy in Bupyeong-gu for 16 years since 2010, protecting residents' health.

Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education Revises Autonomous Regulations to Promote New Establishment and Expansion of Special Education Classes
The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education will implement partial amendments to the 'Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education Special Education Class Installation and Support Ordinance' and the 'Incheon Metropolitan Special Education Operations Committee Rules' starting from the 14th to strengthen the foundation for establishing new and expanding special education classes.
According to the Office of Education, the purpose is to improve the placement environment for special education students by resolving overcrowding in special education classes and complying with legal capacity limits, while also strengthening the Office of Education's accountability.
The main revision contents include: ▶mandatory review of special education class installation and renovation/expansion when establishing new schools at all levels ▶maintaining spaces and facilities for 2 years when reducing special education classes ▶allowing use of special education classrooms for other purposes only at a level that permits immediate restoration ▶establishing new procedures for special education class installation.
