Incheon community rehabilitation center invites families to join ‘Happy Together Plogging Project’
The Incheon Metropolitan City Public Agency for Social Service announced that the Incheon community rehabilitation center is recruiting families for its “Happy Together Project – Family Plogging.”This activity invites families to walk through their neighborhood while picking up litter.
A total of 14 families will be selected, with an equal number of families with and without members with disabilities. Those interested can apply through the center’s website under the program registration section.
Yeonsu-gu signs friendship agreement with Cottonwood Heights, Utah
Yeonsu-gu in Incheon announced that it has signed an international friendship agreement with Cottonwood Heights in the state of Utah, United States.
Responding to an invitation from the U.S. city, a Yeonsu-gu delegation visited Cottonwood Heights and signed the agreement at City Hall on July 5, local time. The two cities committed to active exchanges in administration, culture, education, and the economy.
They also plan to build a regular communication system and arrange mutual visits to strengthen ties and boost urban competitiveness.
Namdong-gu invites schools to join “Namdong Saranghak Academy”, a local education program focused on community pride and heritage
Namdong-gu in Incheon is now recruiting elementary schools to take part in its “Namdong Saranghak Academy” education program, which runs from October to November.
The program helps students better understand and connect with their local community by teaching about Namdong-gu’s history, culture, and environment.
Schools that wish to participate must submit an application form specifying the number of classes, grade levels, preferred days, and time slots.
Ten thousand lilies now in full bloom at Gyeyang’s Four Seasons Garden
Gyeyang-gu in Incheon announced that over 100,000 lilies at the Gyeyang Araon Four Seasons Garden are expected to reach peak bloom between July 11 and August 3.
The 4,000-square-meter garden drew attention this spring with its bright display of 340,000 yellow daffodils.
This summer, visitors can enjoy the fragrance of lilies along with rest areas and photo zones prepared by the district to offer a peaceful and scenic retreat.
Bupyeong-gu completes a new children’s adventure forest at Incheon Butterfly Park
Bupyeong-gu in Incheon completes construction of the Adventure Forest play area at Incheon Butterfly Park.
After a trial period through the end of July, the facility will officially open to the public.
The 414-square-meter play area includes unique attractions not typically found in standard parks, such as the Butterfly Tower Playground, the Big Tree wooden climbing structure, and a Skywalk trail.
The district hopes the new space will encourage children to connect with nature, develop curiosity and confidence, and enjoy healthy outdoor activities with friends.
