Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation to Adjust Waste Disposal Fee Rates

The Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation (SL Corporation) will conduct a research project to review and calculate new waste disposal fee rates.

The adjustment aims to reflect changes in the government’s waste management policies, including the planned ban on direct landfill disposal in the capital region, as well as current landfill operating conditions.

The per-ton disposal fee for municipal waste at the landfill has steadily increased, from 70,056 won in 2021 to 87,608 won in 2022, 97,963 won in 2023, and 116,855 won in 2024.

SL Corporation plans to develop a revised annual rate plan by analyzing market trends for waste types such as volume-based waste and incineration residue, while taking into account landfill operating costs and projected intake volumes.
