Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Tourism Organization announced that the 30th Structural Mechanics in Reactor Technology (SMiRT) conference, the world’s leading academic event in nuclear structural engineering, will be held in Songdo, Incheon, in August 2029.

The SMiRT conference began in Germany in 1971 and has since been held every two years as a major international event in nuclear structural engineering.

Hosting ‘SMiRT 30’ in Incheon is expected to be supported by the advanced facilities and multi-level support system of the International Conference Complex in Songdo International City.

Incheon City announced that starting next month, cashback benefits for the local currency, Eum Card, will be expanded to boost consumption.

As a result, at all affiliated stores with annual sales under 3 billion, users will receive 10% cashback on payments made with the Eum Card.

The monthly limit for cashback is 300,000 won, with a maximum return of 30,000 won.

In Ganghwa-gun and Ongjin-gun, designated as population-declining areas, a 15% cashback will apply, allowing benefits of up to 45,000 won.
