Incheon to Support 1% of Mortgage Interest for Families with Newborns
Incheon City announced that households with newborns born after January 1 this year will receive up to 1% interest support when applying for a mortgage loan.
Eligible applicants are households with children born between January and August this year, and applications can be made on the city’s ‘Incheon Housing Portal’ from the 18th of this month to the 10th of next month.
Requirements include combined annual income of 130 million or less, housing located in Incheon with an exclusive area of 85㎡ or less and transaction value of 600 million or less, one household with one home used as residence, and residency of both parents and the child.
Incheon Office of Education Recruiting Participants for ‘579th Hangul Day Festival’
The Incheon Office of Education announced it will host the 579th Hangul Day Festival under the theme ‘With Hangul! To the World!’ with the National Museum of World Writing, and is recruiting organizations to join the main programs.
The festival will be held on October 9 at Songdo Central Park Lawn Square, to celebrate the excellence of Hangul and introduce diverse cultural and artistic content. On-site events will include a Hangul Day ceremony, lectures, performances, experience booths, and a market.
Applications must be submitted via email by September 12, and results will be announced in the third week of September through the Read-Walk-Write platform and individual contact.
Incheon Yeonsu-gu Begins Operation of ‘Children’s Dietary Education Center’
Incheon Yeonsu-gu announced it has opened the ‘Yeonsu-gu Children’s Dietary Education Center’ on the 3rd floor of the Yeonsu Sports Promotion Joint Building in Cheonghak-dong, starting full operation from the 1st.
The center is about 330㎡ in size and has 8 zones with 15 contents, designed to help children naturally learn the importance of habits, nutrition balance, and food safety through play and experience.
The center is operated by the Yeonsu-gu Meal Service Management Support Center, and is available to groups of children aged 2 to 12 from daycare centers, kindergartens, and community child centers registered with the center.
Incheon Jung-gu Launches ‘3rd Youth Network’
Incheon Jung-gu announced it has formed the ‘3rd Youth Network,’ a communication channel for youth policy, and has started full-scale activities.
The ‘Jung-gu Youth Network’ is a policy participation platform where the district communicates with young people and develops effective policies and projects through public-private cooperation.
Since the start of the 8th mayoral term, Jung-gu has been pursuing policies such as youth support centers, startup support, moving cost assistance, and exam fee support for certifications, aiming to realize the vision of ‘Jung-gu where youth thrive.’
Incheon Namdong-gu Holds Joint Campaign for Gender Equality Week
Incheon Namdong-gu announced it held a joint public-private campaign for gender equality and the prevention of sexual and domestic violence during the 30th Gender Equality Week (September 1–7).
The event was carried out to spread gender equality awareness in daily life and prevent various forms of violence across society.
Participants wore sashes and informed residents about the importance of preventing violence at Guwol Rodeo Street, a busy pedestrian area.
‘4th Gyeyang Light Festival’ Opens on the 5th
Incheon Gyeyang-gu announced it will hold the opening ceremony of the ‘4th Gyeyang Light Festival’ on the 5th near Jubuto-ro around Gyeyang Sports Park.
This year’s festival, held under the theme of ‘Dream,’ will run for four months until December 31, lighting up Gyeyang nights and delivering a message of hope.
The opening day on the 5th will feature an opening performance at 6:50 p.m., followed by a ceremony, lighting performance, and congratulatory performances.
Incheon Seo-gu Announces Free Car Inspection and Maintenance Day
Incheon Seo-gu announced it will hold the ‘2025 Free Car Inspection and Maintenance Day’ event twice, to support safe driving during the Chuseok holiday season and promote sound vehicle management.
The first event will be held on the 21st from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the second on the 19th of next month at the parking lot of the district office main building.
Residents wishing to participate can bring their cars and registration documents directly to the site, with no prior reservation required.
Incheon Namdong-gu Opens 2nd Community Gardener Training Program
Incheon Namdong-gu announced it will run the 2nd Community Gardener Training Program to spread garden culture and realize green welfare.
The program will run from September 3 to November 12 at ‘Neulsolgil Forest Story,’ a forest education facility in Neulsolgil Neighborhood Park, Nonhyeon-dong, with 9 sessions totaling 36 hours.
The curriculum covers basic plant and garden knowledge to garden design and construction, combining theory and practice.
Graduates can participate in community garden projects, volunteer work, and job-linked programs, and the district plans to recruit trainees each year through community service centers.
