Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will host the ‘UNI(Incheon) Peace Camp’ on September 14 at Harbor Park Hotel and the Dongincheon Station South Square area.

The event aims to honor the sacrifices and dedication of 22 countries that fought together during the Korean War and to strengthen solidarity and exchanges between Incheon and cities worldwide.

Around 150 international students from participating countries, currently studying at universities in Incheon, will join the camp. Starting with the opening ceremony in the morning, various cultural events, including a K-POP Academy, a traditional costume fashion show, and hands-on experience programs will take place.

The city plans to continue strengthening international friendship and cooperation with participating nations while enhancing its reputation as a peace city through citizen-participation programs.

Incheon City Warns of Tick-Borne Diseases in Autumn


The Incheon Institute of Public Health and Environment is urging citizens to stay cautious about tick-borne diseases as outdoor activities increase in the autumn season.

The institute monitors tick occurrences from April to November each year and has added urban parks and green trails frequently visited by citizens and pets to its investigation sites this year.

It recommends wearing long-sleeved clothing to minimize skin exposure and using repellents when entering grassy areas as key preventive measures.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority(IFEZ) announced that it will hold a naming contest for Songdo Waterfront Section 6 Lake and Aam Lake.

Any Incheon citizen can participate by submitting entries on the city’s website from the 8th to the 22nd of this month.

The winning names will be finalized as the official names of the two lakes after review by the Yeonsu-gu Naming Committee and the Incheon City Naming Committee.

The Incheon Tourism Organization and Incheon City announced that they will hold large-scale local and vintage markets and events, including Jemulpo Wave Market (3rd), Oh! Slow Market, and Incheon Noodle Popup Store, at the entire Sangsang Platform space (1,500 pyeong) from the 20th to the 21st.

According to the organization, this will be the largest event since the platform opened in July 2024, with 150 teams participating: 68 teams at Jemulpo Wave Market, 2 teams at Incheon Noodle Popup Store, and 80 teams at Oh! Slow Market.

Various local food, goods, fashion, and handicraft brands will take part in the market.





25th Soraepo-gu Festival Opens on September 26


Namdong-gu, Incheon, announced that the 25th Soraepo-gu Festival will be held for three days from the 26th to the 28th at the Soraepo-gu Haeoreum Square area.

This year’s festival aims to become Korea’s leading marine ecology festival by adding modern elements to Soraepo-gu’s history and traditions.
