Incheon to Help SMEs Enter China Through Weihai Office

Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it is recruiting companies to move into the business support office at the Incheon(IFEZ)Economic and Trade Representative Office in Weihai, China.

The program is designed to give local SMEs in Incheon practical support for entering China, where high costs and regulations make it difficult.

Eligible companies are small and medium-sized manufacturers headquartered in Incheon, except those with tax arrears or serious misconduct.

Interested companies can download the application from the city website and submit it by email with the required documents by October 2.

이번 사업은 지난 1월 1단계(250억원), 5월 2단계(1770억원)에 이어 올해 마지막으로 진행되는 것으로, 특히 홈플러스 폐점으로 피해를 입은 소상공인에게는 심사 기준을 완화하고 우선 지원을 제공합니다.

지원 대상은 인천시에 사업장을 둔 모든 소상공인입니다.

Incheon to Provide 25.5 Billion Support Fund for Small Businesses

Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will begin the third and final stage of the ‘Hope Incheon Business Stability Fund’ on September 24, with a total budget of 25.5 billion.

The first stage (25 billion) was in January, and the second stage (177 billion) in May, with this being the last stage of the year.

Small businesses affected by the closure of Homeplus will receive relaxed screening and priority support.

The program is open to all small businesses with operations in Incheon.

Incheon Discusses Cooperation with Alaska in Aviation, Logistics, and Tourism

Incheon Metropolitan City announced that on September 19 Julie Sande, commissioner of Alaska’s Department of Commerce, Community and Economic Development, visited Deputy Mayor Hwang Hyojin for Global City Affairs and toured logistics facilities including the IFEZ PR Center, Incheon New Port Container Terminal, and Incheon Airport Cargo Terminal.

The visit was arranged to discuss expanding cooperation in aviation, logistics, and tourism between Incheon and Alaska.

The two sides held detailed talks on linking Incheon Airport’s cold chain infrastructure with Alaska’s air network, processing and re-exporting Alaska seafood through Incheon Port, and expanding cooperation in tourism, MICE, and conventions.

Incheon plans to strengthen its network with Alaska’s government and businesses and build a sustainable global partnership.

The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will run the second semester of the ‘Dream Link University’ program from September 17 to January 21.

Dream Link University provides integrated career programs in cooperation with universities and institutions.

The office signed agreements with 15 universities and partnered with 15 organizations including the Incheon Police Agency.

This semester 106 courses will be offered, including nano chemistry, digital business, and sports science, with 1,854 students participating.

The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it will host the ‘2025 Incheon Vocational Education Fair’ and the ‘2025 Global Job and Startup Fair’ together from September 30 to October 2 at Songdo Convensia.

The Vocational Education Fair in Hall 1 will showcase programs from 29 vocational high schools and operate various booths such as career counseling and practice zones.

The Global Job and Startup Fair in Hall 2 will run about 90 booths and offer mock interviews, internship information, startup club programs, and a startup market.

The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced the completion of the ‘2025 Ganghwa Edu Tour,’ with 518 participants including school leaders, teachers, and overseas students.

The tour was a national training program using Ganghwa’s history, peace, ecology, and culture to explore the future of education, held ten times this year.

Participants joined peace education at Nanjeong Peace Education Center, history and modern education programs, and school visits.

The program earned a satisfaction rate of 99.6 percent.
