Incheon City Adds Three More M6457 and M6660 Express Buses


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that starting October 27, it will add three more buses each to the M6457 and M6660 express bus routes, which run from Geomam Station Royal Park City Prugio 1 Complex and Geomdan Elementary School in Seo-gu, Incheon, to Seoul Gangnam Station and Guro Digital Complex Station.

The additional buses aim to shorten the commuting time for residents of Geomdan New Town and improve their transportation convenience.

Incheon City stated that it will continue close cooperation with transportation companies to expand not only the M-bus routes but also the number of intercity express buses, striving to enhance citizens’ transportation convenience and quality of life. 





Incheon City Publicly Recruits 12th Term Citizen Auditors


Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will publicly recruit the 12th term of Citizen Auditors from October 21 to October 31.

The recruitment will select up to 100 auditors across 12 fields, including audit and legal affairs, accounting and taxation, civil engineering and architecture, and health and welfare. The city plans to ensure a balanced selection by considering regions, areas of expertise, gender, and age.

The Citizen Auditors will serve a two-year term from the date of appointment, taking part in suggesting corrections for illegal or unreasonable administrative matters and participating in audit processes upon request by the head of the audit organization.





“2025 Madly Medley Festival” Successfully Held in Incheon


Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Tourism Organization announced that the “2025 Madly Medley Festival,” held from October 18 to 19 at the outdoor plaza of Paradise City in Incheon, was successfully completed.

The event operated two performance stages — the outdoor Culture Park Stage and the indoor Studio Stage at Paradise City — featuring 43 teams of artists across various genres, including K-pop, rock, hip-hop, and indie.

Performers included G-DRAGON, Taeyeon, Kim Chang Wan Band, Bol4, Kim Kwang jin, Onew, and E SENS, among others, offering diverse and vibrant performances.






Incheon Culture & Arts Center Presents Play Anthology “12 Angry Men”


The Incheon Culture & Arts Center will present the play 12 Angry Men by Theater Company Sansuyu at the Small Theater from November 7 to 8.

The production reinterprets the classic courtroom drama’s heavy themes in a modern way and is part of the Incheon Culture & Arts Center’s “Play Anthology” series.

12 Angry Men tells the story of jurors who must decide the guilt or innocence of a 16-year-old boy accused of murdering his father.





Namdong-gu Sorae History Museum Sees 41.5% Increase in Visitors After Renovation


Namdong-gu, Incheon City, reported that visitors to Sorae History Museum increased by 41.5% this year after its renovation.

According to the district, the four-month remodeling project, carried out from October last year, completely revamped the exhibition content and spatial design, creating a modern display environment that combines digital technology and interactive experiences.

Since this year, Sorae History Museum has also welcomed foreign visitors as part of the Incheon Airport Transit Tour program, with over 400 international tourists having visited so far.





Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education Shintree Library Hosts “Handpan + Meditation” Night Performance for October Culture Month


In celebration of October Culture Month, the Incheon Metropolitan City Office of Education Shintree Library announced that it will hold a “Handpan + Meditation Performance for Relaxation” on October 31 (Friday) from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Springnuri Hall on the first floor of the new building.

The night performance is a healing program where participants listen to handpan music in a comfortable position and meditate, led by a professional instructor from Chomin Gamja Brain Healing Center.

Applications can be made from October 20 through the Shintree Library website, and inquiries can be directed to the Village Education Support Division.




 

Ongjin-gun Provides Scholarships for Children from Low-Income Families


Ongjin-gun, Incheon City, announced that it will accept applications for the “2025 Second Half Scholarship for Children from Low-Income Families” from today until the 27th.

The scholarship is provided under the “Ongjin-gun Social Welfare Fund Establishment and Operation Ordinance” to reduce the financial burden of education and support students with necessary academic expenses such as textbooks.

Eligible applicants are middle and high school students who are children of low-income residents registered in Ongjin-gun and rank within the top 50 percent of their class. Middle school students receive 500,000 won per semester, and high school students receive 1 million won.
