Incheon Declares Vision to Create 600,000 Local Jobs Under the 8th Popularly Elected Administration
Incheon Metropolitan City held the Vision Declaration Ceremony for Achieving 600,000 Local Jobs under the 8th civil administration at Michuhol Tower on November 18, reaffirming its commitment to becoming a job-creating city together with its citizens.
The ceremony took place immediately following a major business briefing session where the city shared next year’s economic and industrial policies with the public, further adding significance to the event. All participants joined in cheering the slogans, “600,000 jobs for citizens’ happiness” and “A second economic hub built together with citizens,” demonstrating their strong commitment toward achieving the goal.
Since the launch of the 8th civil administration, Incheon has created a total of 480,000 local jobs from 2023 through September 2025, and the city expects to exceed the target of 600,000 jobs in 2026.

Incheon Metropolitan City is actively gathering public feedback to enhance user satisfaction with its official website, the city’s primary channel for delivering updates and information on municipal affairs.
The survey will be conducted for 15 days from Monday, November 24 to Monday, December 8 on the official website through the ‘Citizen Participation > Survey’ section. Any resident who uses the site is eligible to participate.
Through this survey, the city aims to closely analyze citizens’ diverse needs and reflect them in future improvement efforts, ultimately creating a more convenient and user-friendly online environment for municipal information.
Incheon Recruiting 100 Youth for Winter Internship Program
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it is recruiting 100 young participants for its winter part-time work program.
The program is designed to offer administrative experience to local youth and help them gain a deeper understanding of the community.
Applicants must be Incheon residents registered as of the announcement date and must not have participated in any youth internship programs operated by the city over the past two years.
“Incheon Island Design Forum” to Be Held on the 25th
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it will host the 2025 Incheon Island Design Forum on November 25 at the Yonsei University International Campus.
Under the theme ‘Finding the Future in Islands,’ the forum will explore new design strategies and future development opportunities based on the unique identity and resources of Incheon’s island regions.

2025 Incheon Gyeyang-gu Year-End Concert to Be Held on December 5
Incheon’s Gyeyang-gu is preparing a special musical stage to end the year with beautiful music.
The concert will take place on Friday, December 5, at 7 PM at the Gyeyang Culture Center, featuring the Gyeyang-gu Arts Troupe.
The Gyeyang-gu Symphony Orchestra will perform classical pieces filled with the winter season’s emotion, offering residents a festive musical experience.
Incheon Free Economic Zone to Hold 2025 IFEZ Landscape Academy on November 26
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that the 2025 IFEZ Landscape Academy will be held on November 26 at the Incheon Urban History Museum under the theme “See the City, Feel the Memory.”
The academy will feature a variety of programs including the 2025 Landscape Awards ceremony, lectures on urban landscapes, and a landscape concert. Citizens, experts, and public officials will come together to communicate and discuss the future of urban landscapes in the IFEZ.
The event will also be available for viewing on the IFEZ’s YouTube channel from 2 PM on December 11.
