Holiday Response Plan to be Implemented For Less Inconvenience, More Benefits

Incheon Metropolitan City has announced it will implement a comprehensive Lunar New Year holiday response plan across 12 areas to help residents enjoy a safer and more comfortable holiday. The response plan will affect areas including transportation, emergency medical care, prices and consumption, grave visits, and culture and leisure from February 14 to 18. Rather than focusing on administrative measures alone, the plan emphasizes practical policies residents can directly experience, such as toll-free access through Wonjeoksan and Manwolsan tunnels, 24-hour emergency room operations, expanded public transportation services, and Onnuri Gift Certificate cashback events. The city will operate an integrated situation control center throughout the five-day holiday period to minimize inconvenience to residents.

All vehicles will be able to pass through toll gates without stopping or making card or cash payments. Current toll rates are 400 won for compact cars, 800 won for standard vehicles, and 1,100 won for large vehicles.

Incheon Activates Emergency Medical System To Prevent Holiday Care Gaps

Incheon Metropolitan City has announced it will operate emergency medical situation rooms at city and district public health centers and fully activate an emergency medical response system to minimize disruptions during the Lunar New Year holiday. Throughout the holiday, emergency rooms at 21 emergency medical institutions, five emergency medical facilities, and two pediatric emergency centers will operate normally around the clock. Air and physician-staffed ambulances will remain on standby to ensure uninterrupted emergency treatment.

To ease emergency room congestion and allow patients with mild symptoms to receive care safely, seven Moonlight Children’s Hospitals and 35 public late-night pharmacies will also operate during the holiday.

Incheon Customs To Strengthen Inspections On Imported School Supplies

Incheon Main Customs Office will strengthen import clearance inspections on school supplies ahead of March when the new school year begins and demand for such products increase. The inspection period will last five weeks and cover 14 items, including stationery, erasers, correction tape, toys, and backpacks. For toys and school supplies subject to the Special Act on the Safety of Children’s Products, customs will closely examine safety certification compliance and potential intellectual property violations.

Incheon To Recruit Gift Suppliers For 2026 Hometown Donation Program

Eligible categories include agricultural, livestock, and fishery products; processed foods; manufactured and handicraft goods; and tourism and service items.
