Introducing Incheon Urban History Museum
As Korea’s first planned city following the opening of its ports in 1883, Incheon has evolved over 140 years through dynamic growth and transformation. Today, it stands as the largest metropolitan district by area among South Korea’s eight major cities, home to a thriving population of three million with boundless potential. The Incheon Urban History Museum delivers the history and transformations of Incheon as a city in an accessible way using various real-life materials and models. The museum also provides a wide range of educational sessions and events to let citizens learn the history and cultural benefits of Incheon, the city we call home.
