In 1902, the first ship carrying Korean emigrants set sail from Jemulpo Port. In 2026, Incheon has become a gateway where the world comes together. Linked to the world through Incheon International Airport and Incheon Port, and generating new business opportunities through Songdo International City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone, the city once again welcomed Korean business leaders from around the globe.

1902년, 제물포항에서 첫 이민선이 세계를 향해 출항했다. 2026년, 인천은 세계가 찾아오는 관문이 됐다. 인천국제공항과 인천항을 통해 세계와 연결되고, 송도국제도시와 인천경제자유구역을 중심으로 새로운 비즈니스가 만들어지는 도시, 인천에서 세계 한인 경제인들이 다시 만났다.

세계 한인 경제인들이 한자리에

The 24th World Korean Business Convention, bringing together overseas Korean business leaders, known as Hansang, and Korean companies, was successfully held at Songdo ConvensiA from September 28 to 30. This year, in celebration of World Korean Week, major events including the World Korean Association Conference, Future Leaders’ Conference, and Korean Festival were held together, bringing Korean business leaders, community leaders, nextgeneration talent, and cultural artists from around the world to Incheon.

글로벌 경제 네트워크의 주역인 재외동포 경제인 ‘한상’과 국내 기업이 함께한 제24차 세계한상대회가 9월 28일부터 30일까지 송도컨벤시아에서 성황리에 개최됐다. 올해는 세계한인주간을 맞아 세계한인회장대회, 세계한인차세대대회, 코리안 페스티벌 등 주요 행사가 함께 열려 세계 각국의 한인 경제인과 한인사회 리더, 차세대 인재와 문화예술인이 인천에 모였다.

Beginning with the joint opening ceremony and the 20th Korean Day Ceremony on September 28, the convention featured the World Korean Business General Assembly, World Korean Business Forum, Young Business Leaders Forum, and Leading CEO General Assembly. Participants shared insights into the rapidly changing global economy and industries while exploring new directions for the Hansang network and opportunities for collaboration.

9월 28일 통합 개회식과 제20회 세계한인의 날 기념식을 시작으로 세계한상총회, 세계한상포럼, 영비즈니스리더스포럼, 리딩CEO총회 등이 이어졌다. 참가자들은 급변하는 글로벌 경제환경과 산업의 변화를 공유하고, 한상 네트워크의 발전 방향과 새로운 협력 가능성을 모색했다.

Expanding Business Opportunities Through Global Connections

비즈니스 기회를 넓힌 교류의 장

At the heart of the convention was practical business exchange connecting Korean companies with overseas Korean business leaders. During one-on-one business meetings, Korean companies met directly with overseas buyers to explore export opportunities and entry into global markets. At the IR Stage, companies showcased their technologies and business competitiveness while seeking new opportunities for investment and collaboration.

대회의 중심에는 국내 기업과 세계 한인 경제인을 연결하는 실질적인 비즈니스 교류가 있었다. 1:1 비즈니스 상담회에서는 국내 기업과 해외 바이어가 직접 만나 수출과 해외시장 진출 가능성을 모색하고, IR 스테이지에서는 기업의 기술력과 사업 경쟁력을 소개하며 새로운 투자와 협력의 기회를 찾았다.

Incheon also used the convention to connect local companies with the global Hansang network and highlight the city’s investment potential. At the Incheon Investment Promotion Session on September 30, Incheon Metropolitan City, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, and Incheon Technopark presented the city’s business ecosystem—from its industrial and transportation infrastructure and global networks to investment incentives in the free economic zones and support for startup growth and investment.

인천시도 세계 한상 네트워크와 지역 기업을 연결하고 인천의 투자 매력을 알렸다. 9월 30일 열린 인천광역시 투자유치 설명회에서는 인천광역시, 인천경제자유구역청, 인천테크노파크에서 기관별로 산업·교통·글로벌 네트워크 등 투자환경부터 경제자유구역의 투자 혜택, 스타트업의 성장과 투자 지원까지 인천의 비즈니스 생태계를 한자리에서 소개했다.

산업현장에서 만난 인천의 미래

Participants in the World Korean Business Convention visited leading companies in Incheon to see the city’s industrial competitiveness firsthand.

세계한상대회 참가자들은 인천의 주요 기업을 직접 찾아가 산업현장을 살펴보며 인천의 산업 경쟁력을 체감했다.

They toured BNCÉRA, an aesthetics, bio, and healthcare company; Daebong LS, which produces active pharmaceutical ingredients and cosmetic materials; and BRILS, a developer of robotics and modular platform solutions. From bio and healthcare to K-beauty materials, robotics, and advanced manufacturing, the visits offered a firsthand look at Incheon’s industrial strengths and potential for global growth.

에스테틱 바이오·헬스케어 분야의 비엔세라, 원료의약품과 화장품 소재 등을 생산하는 대봉엘에스, 로봇·모듈화 플랫폼 솔루션을 개발하는 브릴스를 방문하여 인천의 미래산업 현장을 둘러봤다. 이는 바이오·헬스케어에서 K-뷰티 소재, 로봇·첨단 제조까지 기업 현장에서 인천의 산업 경쟁력과 글로벌 성장 가능성을 확인하는 시간이었다. 

Experiencing Incheon’s History and Culture Together

함께 경험한 인천의 역사와 문화

The convention was about more than business. Participants experienced Incheon’s history, culture, peace, and natural beauty, gaining a deeper understanding of the host city.

이번 대회는 비즈니스만을 위한 자리가 아니었다. 참가자들은 인천의 역사와 문화, 평화와 자연을 직접 경험하며 개최도시 인천을 더욱 깊이 만났다.

They explored the Incheon Open Port Area, looking back on the city’s modern port-opening history and the history of Korean emigration that began at Jemulpo Port in 1902. They also visited Jeondeungsa Temple, Ganghwa Peace Observatory, and Hwagae Garden, experiencing different aspects of Incheon’s history, peace, and nature.

개항장 문화 탐방과 인천의 근대 개항과 1902년 제물포항에서 시작된 한인 이민의 역사를 돌아볼 뿐만 아니라, 전등사, 평화전망대, 화개정원​을 찾아 인천의 역사와 평화, 자연을 경험했다.

At Songdo ConvensiA, a photo exhibition traced the history of Korean migration, from emigration to Hawaii and Mexico to Korean miners and nurses who worked in Germany. A variety of performances were also presented at the Yogi Jogi Concert and the 2026 Korean Festival.

송도컨벤시아에서는 하와이·멕시코 이민과 파독 광부·간호사 등 한인들의 발자취를 담은 이민사 사진전이 열렸고, ‘요기조기 음악회’와 ‘2026 코리안 페스티벌’에서는 예술인들의 다양한 공연이 펼쳐졌다.

Together, these experiences gave overseas Koreans an opportunity to discover Incheon as a city where industry, history, peace, and culture come together.

이처럼 산업과 역사, 평화와 문화가 어우러진 인천의 매력을 세계 한인들과 함께 나누는 시간이었다.

An International Event Made Possible by the Community

시민들과 함께한 국제행사

The 24th World Korean Business Convention was an international event brought to life with the participation of local residents and volunteers.

제24차 세계한상대회는 시민과 자원봉사자가 함께 만들어간 국제행사였다.

Incheon’s SNS Supporters shared stories from the convention along with the city’s tourism and cultural attractions, while volunteers assisted participants from Korea and abroad at the airport, accommodations, and convention venue. The warm hospitality of local residents also helped welcome visitors from around the world. Together, overseas Korean business leaders, Korean companies, residents, volunteers, and artists created a global platform where Incheon connected with the world.

인천시 SNS 서포터즈는 행사 현장과 관광·문화 콘텐츠를 알렸고, 자원봉사자들은 공항과 숙소, 행사장 등 곳곳에서 국내외 참가자들의 행사 참여를 지원했다. 세계에서 온 손님을 맞이한 시민들의 따뜻한 환대도 더해졌다. 세계 한상과 국내 기업, 시민과 자원봉사자, 문화예술인이 함께하며 세계와 인천이 만나고 연결되는 글로벌 교류의 장을 완성했다.

In 1902, the first ship carrying Korean emigrants set sail from Incheon for the world. In 2026, Koreans from around the world returned to Incheon. Here, they met new people, discovered new business opportunities, and experienced Incheon’s future.

1902년, 인천에서 세계를 향해 첫 이민선이 떠났다.

2026년, 세계의 한인들이 인천으로 돌아왔다.

그리고 이곳에서 새로운 사람을 만나고, 새로운 비즈니스의 기회를 찾고, 인천의 미래를 확인했다.
