In 2012, Incheon Metropolitan City, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, and Korea Land & Housing Corporation (LH) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for Hana Financial Group’s relocation to Cheongna. This marked the beginning of the Hana Dream Town project, which is set to become the first case of a major Korean financial group relocating its headquarters outside Seoul. Following the completion of the Integrated Data Center and Hana Global Campus, the Group Headquarters was completed in 2026, bringing the long journey closer to completion. Looking back on the 15-year journey of Hana Dream Town, we explore how Cheongna International City is preparing to usher in a new era of finance.

2012년 인천시와 인천경제청, 한국토지주택공사(LH)가 하나금융그룹의 청라 이전을 위한 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다. 국내 주요 금융그룹이 본사를 서울 외 지역으로 이전하는 첫 사례가 될 ‘하나드림타운’ 프로젝트의 시작이었다. 통합데이터센터와 하나글로벌캠퍼스를 거쳐 2026년 그룹 헤드쿼터가 준공되며 오랜 여정도 마침표를 향하고 있다. 15년에 걸쳐 이어진 하나드림타운의 여정을 돌아보며 새로운 금융 시대를 열어갈 청라국제도시의 모습을 살펴본다.  

2017 Integrated Data Center The Foundation of Digital Finance

2017년 디지털 금융의 기반, 통합데이터센터 

The first milestone of Hana Dream Town was the Integrated Data Center, which brought together the IT infrastructure and personnel previously spread across 13 Hana Financial Group affiliates, including banking, securities, card, insurance, and capital services. Designed to improve efficiency and synergy by centralizing these resources, the center brought approximately 1,800 IT professionals to Cheongna International City upon its completion.

하나드림타운의 첫 번째 결실은 통합데이터센터였다. 은행, 증권, 카드, 보험, 캐피털 등 하나금융그룹 13개 관계사에 분산돼 있던 정보기술(IT) 인프라와 인력을 한곳에 모은 시설이다. 분산 관리하던 IT 인프라와 인력을 집적해 업무 효율과 시너지를 높이기 위한 공간으로, 준공과 함께 약 1,800명의 IT 인력이 청라국제도시로 자리를 옮겼다. 

2019 Hana Global Campus Nurturing Future Financial Talent

2019년 인재를 양성하기 위한 하나글로벌캠퍼스 

Next came Hana Global Campus, established to nurture future financial professionals. It serves employees from Hana Financial Group affiliates, including KEB Hana Bank, Hana Financial Investment, and Hana Card, as well as employees across 190 locations in 24 countries. 

이어 미래 금융 인재를 양성하기 위한 하나글로벌캠퍼스가 문을 열었다. 하나글로벌캠퍼스는 KEB하나은행, 하나금융투자, 하나카드 등 그룹 전 계열사와 관계사, 전 세계 24개국 190개 글로벌 네트워크의 임직원을 위한 교육시설이다. 

The campus is a global hub where Hana Financial Group employees from around the world share knowledge and experience while developing professional expertise in finance. It consists of three buildings, an indoor gymnasium, a grass field, and the Global Field. Designed as a circular park representing Earth at a scale of 1:100,000, the Global Field is also open to local residents.

세계 각지의 하나금융그룹 인재들이 지식과 경험을 나누는 글로벌 허브이자 전문 금융인력을 육성하는 공간으로 활용되고 있다. 총 3개 동의 건물과 실내체육관, 잔디구장, 글로벌 필드 등으로 구성되어 있으며, 특히 지구를 10만 분의 1로 축소한 원형 공원인 ‘글로벌 필드’는 지역주민도 이용할 수 있는 열린 공간으로 조성됐다. 

2026 Group Headquarters A New Home for Hana Financial Group

2026년 새로운 거처가 될 그룹 헤드쿼터 

With the completion of the Group Headquarters on May 21 , Hana Financial Group’s relocation to Cheongna entered its final stage. Located near Cheongna International City Station, the building has seven basement levels and 15 floors above ground and stands out for its unconventional design. A 1.1-kilometer pedestrian ramp spirals from the first to the 15th floor, connecting work and relaxation spaces along the way. Open to everyone, the ramp also creates a space for connecting with the local community.

올해 5월 21일 그룹 헤드쿼터가 준공되면서 하나금융그룹의 청라 이전도 마지막 단계로 접어들었다. 청라국제도시역 인근에 들어선 건물은 지하 7층, 지상 15층 규모로, 일반적인 오피스 빌딩에서 벗어난 독특한 외관이 눈길을 끈다. 특히 건물 1층부터 15층까지 나선형으로 이어지는 약 1.1km의 보행 램프가 인상적이다. 공원에서 시작한 램프는 층층이 이어지며 다양한 업무·휴식 공간과 연결된다. 누구나 자유롭게 이용할 수 있도록 설계해 지역사회와 소통하는 열린 공간의 의미도 담았다. 

From September through the end of the year, around 2,200 employees from 10 affiliates, including Hana Financial Group and Hana Bank, will relocate in phases. Together with those already based at the Integrated Data Center and Hana Global Campus, around 4,000 financial professionals will be based in Cheongna. With Hana Dream Town nearing compl etion, Cheongna is taking another step toward becoming a new hub for finance and digital industries.

9월부터 연말까지 하나금융지주와 하나은행 등 10개 관계사 약 2,200명이 순차적으로 이전한다. 기존 통합데이터센터의 하나글로벌캠퍼스 상주 인력을 포함하면 약 4,000명의 금융 전문 인력이 청라국제도시에 모이게 된다. 하나드림타운의 완성과 함께 청라는 금융과 디지털 산업이 집적된 새로운 금융 거점으로 한걸음 더 나아가고 있다.
