Family Month: Share Your Heart with Special Gifts Made with Senior Citizens' Dedication
Incheon Metropolitan City announced it will host the '2025 Incheon Senior Job Creation Products Fair' to introduce and sell various products directly made by senior citizens in celebration of Family Month.
The event will be held for two days from May 7 to 8 in the central hall on the first floor of Incheon City Hall's main building, where anyone can freely visit and make purchases from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Incheon City organizes this exhibition and sales event twice a year to promote products made through senior job creation projects and help the elderly achieve economic independence. Nine senior job support organizations will participate in this fair, showcasing approximately 100 different types of products.
Incheon Arts & Culture Center, 2025 Coffee Concert
The third stage of the 2025 first-half Coffee Concert series will be held on Wednesday, May 14 at 2:00 PM at the Dong-gu Culture and Sports Center performance hall.
The <Coffee Concert> series, which began in 2008, is a matinée concert held at 2:00 PM on the third Wednesday of each month and has surpassed a cumulative audience of 93,000 people.
The May performance will feature the omnibus play "Human Comedy," which has received continuous love from many audiences since 1999. Since its initial performance in 1999, the show has consistently sold out all performances, earning high praise and affection from numerous media outlets.
Incheon City Recruiting Students for Traditional Culture Education "Mother-of-Pearl Crafts Course"
The Incheon Metropolitan City Agricultural Technology Center announced that it is recruiting students for the traditional culture education "Mother-of-Pearl Crafts Course."
"Mother-of-Pearl Craft" is a traditional craft that involves intricately processing shells, such as abalone, to create shining and beautiful patterns. This course is structured to teach the basic principles of mother-of-pearl crafts and provide hands-on practice in creating them.
The education will run for a total of 5 sessions every Monday from May 12 to June 9, with a recruitment capacity of 24 participants.
Incheon City Offers Daebul Hotel Model Assembly Experience for Younger Siblings
Incheon Metropolitan City Museum announced that they will run their ongoing family education program "From Daebul Hotel to Junghwaru..." as a special class that allows preschool children to participate in celebration of Family Month in May.
"From Daebul Hotel to Junghwaru..." is an experiential program where participants learn about the history from Korea's first hotel, the Daebul Hotel, to Junghwaru restaurant that operated in the same building afterward, and assemble a scale model of "Daebul Hotel & Junghwaru" with their family.
This program runs on the third Saturday of each month until December this year. While it was previously targeted at families with elementary school children, the museum has specially expanded eligibility in May for Family Month to include preschool children and infants so they can participate alongside their families.
