Incheon Offers Moving Expense Support of Up to KRW 400,000 for Young Adults Relocating to the City
Incheon Metropolitan City has announced a new initiative to ease the financial burden on young adults relocating from other regions to Incheon by providing support for moving expenses.
Eligible applicants are heads of households between the ages of 18 and 39 who have no home ownership and have officially changed their residence to Incheon from another region since January 1 of this year.
Applicants must be living in rental housing with a deposit of KRW 250 million or less and have a household income at or below 120% of the national median income (based on a one-person household).
The city plans to support a total of 250 individuals in 2025—125 in the first half of the year and 125 in the second—providing up to KRW 400,000 per person.
Incheon to Offer Additional 500 Units of KRW 1,000-per-Day Housing—Applications Open June 12–16
The Incheon Housing and City Development Corporation (iH) has announced that it will supply an additional 500 units of its popular "KRW 1,000 Housing" program, which offers affordable housing at just KRW 1,000 per day (approximately KRW 30,000 per month).
Interested applicants are required to submit their applications in person at Incheon City Hall between June 12 and 16.
Incheon City Participates in 2025 AMCHAM Seminar to Attract U.S. Investment
Incheon Metropolitan City announced that it participated in the 2025 AMCHAM Business Environment Seminar, hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea, to strengthen global partnerships and lay the groundwork for attracting U.S. business investment.
Established in 1953, AMCHAM is the largest foreign economic organization in Korea, with over 800 member companies both domestically and abroad. The organization aims to promote trade and investment between Korea and the United States.
In October 2022, Incheon became the first local government in Korea to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with AMCHAM. Since then, it has been the only local government to participate in the AMCHAM seminar annually, actively promoting Incheon’s vision and investment environment as a global city.
This year’s seminar was held in celebration of Korea hosting the APEC Summit, with the goal of positioning Korea as a key economic hub in the Asia-Pacific region.
Incheon’s General Construction Headquarters Holds Anti-Corruption Training for Public Officials
On April 29, the General Construction Headquarters of Incheon Metropolitan City held an anti-corruption training session for public officials at its main conference room.
The training aimed to enhance integrity among government personnel and promote transparent, trustworthy public administration.
A city official noted, “Given the headquarters' role in managing infrastructure such as roads and public buildings—services that directly impact citizens—we hope this training serves as an opportunity for all staff to deepen their understanding of ethical governance and lead the way in fostering a corruption-free administration.”
