Incheon City to Provide 177 Billion Won in Business Stabilization Loans for Small Businesses
Incheon City will provide a total of 177 billion won in business stabilization loans to small businesses starting on the 12th, aiming to revitalize the local economy.
The loans are available to all small businesses with a business location in Incheon.
Each business can borrow up to 30 million won, and interest support will be provided for three years after the loan is issued.
Repayment will be made in monthly installments over five years following a one-year grace period. Incheon City will cover 2% of the loan interest in the first year and 1.5% in the second and third years.
Incheon City Cracks Down on Fraudulent Use of Incheon Love Gift Certificates
Incheon Metropolitan City is conducting an intensive inspection to eliminate the fraudulent use of Incheon Love Gift Certificates.
The crackdown targets 134,585 registered merchants throughout the city.
Key violations under scrutiny include the illegal collection and exchange of vouchers, use at restricted businesses, refusal to accept vouchers, discriminatory treatment compared to cash, and merchants identified by local governments for further investigation.
Merchants found to be engaging in illegal practices will face administrative and financial penalties, including deregistration and fines, in accordance with the Act on the Promotion of the Use of Local Love Gift Certificates.
Seo-gu, Incheon, Conducts Public Preference Survey for Tentative Name of Cheongna Bridge
Seo-gu, Incheon, is conducting a public preference survey to determine its proposal for the name of the 3rd Landing Bridge, which is scheduled for completion later this year.
The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZ) previously requested both Seo-gu and Jung-gu to submit two name proposals each.
The 3rd Landing Bridge is a 4.68-kilometer-long bridge connecting Cheongna-dong in Seo-gu to Jungsan-dong in Jung-gu. It will be the second bridge linking Seo-gu to Yeongjong Island. The final name is expected to be decided in July following a review by IFEZ and the Incheon City Naming Committee.
Ongjin-gun Accelerates Project to Make Daeijakdo a Tourist Attraction
Ongjin-gun, Incheon, is accelerating efforts to promote Daeijakdo in Jawol-myeon as a major island tourist attraction.
The island’s most iconic natural feature is ‘Puldeung,’ a sandy shoal that appears during low tide, which was designated as an ecosystem conservation area in 2004.
The project focuses on enhancing the quality of tourism and strengthening local residents’ capacity by expanding tourism content and improving tourism infrastructure.
Ongjin-gun Extends Tourism Campaign for Tourists
Ongjin-gun, Incheon, will extend its campaign to eradicate illegal activities and increase local consumption, originally held at coastal passenger terminals and docks for tourists visiting the islands from April 21 to May 2, until the 5th of next month.
Ongjin-gun launched the campaign as the number of tourists has been increasing since the spring season following the implementation of the Incheon i-Sea Pass across all islands, raising concerns about unauthorized harvesting of wild plants and illegal fishing activities potentially disrupting the livelihoods of local residents.
During the extended period, Ongjin-gun will continue to deliver campaign messages such as ▶ Eradicate illegal harvesting ▶ Prevent unauthorized fishing ▶ Take your trash with you ▶ Increase local spending on the islands through various promotional activities.
Namdong Cultural Foundation Seeks Local Hubs for 'Artist Next Door' Project
The Namdong Cultural Foundation in Incheon is now accepting applications for the ‘Artist Next Door’ Project, part of its cultural welfare initiative.
This project will be carried out in Mansu-dong, Namchon-dong, and Ganseok-dong, areas designated for urban regeneration in Namdong-gu, and aims to foster a self-sustaining cultural community in these older districts, where access to culture and the arts is relatively limited.
Selected hubs will receive support for hosting small-scale performances and educational programs, as well as assistance with creating promotional materials. Through these community-driven events, local residents will have more opportunities to experience culture and the arts within their immediate surroundings.
