Beyond reporting on the city’s latest developments and destinations, it shares the stories of the people shaping Incheon, bringing the city to life through their experiences.
To celebrate its 100th issue, <INCHEON NOW> reconnects with some of the remarkable people who have appeared in its pages over the years.
한 도시를 이해하는 가장 좋은 방법은 그곳에 사는 사람들의 이야기에 귀를 기울이는 것이다.
<INCHEON NOW>는 인천의 정책, 문화, 관광, 역사 등을 세계에 홍보하기 위한 영문 매거진이다.
최신 이슈와 새로운 공간을 소개하는 것에 그치지 않고, 인천과 함께 살아가는 이들의 이야기를 담아 더 생생하고 흥미로운 매거진을 만들어가고 있다.

More than 15 international organizations and associations are based in Songdo International City, including the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the East Asian–Australasian Flyway Partnership (EAAFP) Secretariat, and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) Subregional Office for East and North-East Asia. <INCHEON NOW> spoke with their leaders about global challenges—from climate and the environment to the economy and peace—and explored how Incheon is strengthening its global presence and diplomatic role.

Incheon Global Campus is a global education hub where students can follow the curricula of leading overseas universities in Incheon while earning the same degrees awarded by their home campuses. Through their research and their lives beyond the classroom, they offer a glimpse of Incheon as a vibrant global education city.
인천글로벌캠퍼스는 해외 명문대학의 교육과정을 인천에서 경험하고, 홈캠퍼스와 동일한 학위를 받을 수 있는 글로벌 교육 공간이다. 세계 여러 나라에서 모인 교수와 학생들은 서로 다른 언어와 문화를 나누며 새로운 배움의 풍경을 만들어간다. 이들의 연구와 도선 캠퍼스 밖 인천 생활을 통해 국제교육도시 인천의 활기찬 모습을 전했다.

The Incheon Intangible Heritage Education Center is where the value of Korea’s traditional culture is preserved and passed to future generations. Through conversations with master artisans dedicated to traditional crafts and performing arts, <INCHEON NOW> has shared the enduring beauty and meaning of Korea’s cultural heritage.
형태는 사라져도 기술과 정신은 사람을 통해 이어진다. 인천무형유산 전수교육관은 오랜 세월 축적된 전통문화의 가치가 다음 세대로 전해지는 공간이다. 전통 공예와 예술을 지켜온 장인들을 만나 한국 고유의 아름다움과 가치를 전해왔다.

From professional athletes and marriage immigrants to members of Incheon’s Global Supporters, international residents from diverse backgrounds see Incheon through unique lenses. 프로 스포츠팀에서 활약하는 외국인 선수, 인천에 정착한 결혼이민자, 인천을 알리는 데 앞장서는 글로벌 홍보단 등 다양한 배경일 지닌 외국인 시민들은 인천을 새로운 시선으로 바라본다. 이들이 들려주는 이야기는 여행지가 아닌 삶의 터전이자 또 하나의 고향임을 보여주었다.

In recent years, <INCHEON NOW> has continued to spotlight people who connect Incheon with the world.
They include honorary consuls promoting economic, cultural, and people-to-people exchange; the chair of the Incheon Film Commission preserving memories of the diaspora through film; and medical professionals caring for international travelers and airport workers at Incheon International Airport. Each plays a unique role in bringing people and cities—and Incheon and the world—closer together. Their stories continue to broaden and deepen the meaning of the city.
최근 <INCHEON NOW>는 인천과 세계를 잇는 더욱 다양한 사람들의 이야기에 주목하고 있다.
국가 간 경제·문화·인적 교류를 이어가는 명예영사, 디아스포라의 기억을 영화로 연결하는 인천영상위원회 운영위원장, 인천국제공항에서 세계 각국의 여행객과 공항 종사자의 건강을 돌보는 의료인까지. 저마다의 자리에서 사람과 도시 인천과 세계를 연결하는 이들의 이야기는 인천의 의미를 더욱 넓고 깊게 만들어간다.

Over the past 100 issues, the people featured in <INCHEON NOW> have spoken different languages, lived across cultures, pursued different professions, and followed different ways of life.
Yet their stories share one thing: each is helping shape Incheon today and carry the city’s possibilities into tomorrow.
지난 100호 동안 <INCHEON NOW>가 만난 사람들은 서로 다른 언어, 문화 직업, 삶의 방식을 지니고 있었다.
그러나 이들의 이야기에는 하나의 공통점이 있다.
모두가 인천의 오늘을 만들고, 도시의 가능성을 내일로 이어가고 있다는 점이다.
