- AI Travel Assistant Service on the Incheon Easy App

From information on tourist attractions and recommended itineraries to coupons and useful amenities, the Incheon Easy app makes traveling in Incheon more convenient and enjoyable. This year, the app introduced AI technology, offering personalized travel information tailored to each user’s preferences and circumstances, just like having a personal travel assistant.

Personalized Services for Every Traveler

Launched in 2021, the Incheon Easy app is a smart tourism platform that brings together a range of travel services, including transportation, tourism, and shopping, making it easy to explore Incheon with just a smartphone. Users can find information on attractions, restaurants, and parking; access discount coupons for businesses near tourist sites; join events linked to local festivals and programs; and use audio guides for major attractions.

This year, the app introduced its new AI Travel Assistant. Going beyond simple searches, the service understands travelers’ questions and situations and offers personalized recommendations. With a simple question, users can receive real-time travel information tailored to their needs, taking into account factors such as location, weather, and time of day.

+ AI Travel Assistant Easykku

Easykku, the character of the Incheon Easy app, was inspired by the pebbles of Kongdol Beach on Baengnyeongdo Island. This adorable pebble-shaped character grew legs out of a wish to travel all around Incheon. In 2026, Easykku took on a new role as an AI travel assistant, gaining hands and a wider range of expressions.

An Incheon Tourism App for Everyone

The Incheon Easy app aims to make travel in Incheon convenient and accessible for everyone.

The app supports multiple languages, including English, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese, allowing users to access travel information according to their device language settings without downloading a separate app. In April 2024, it became the first tourism app developed by a local government in Korea to receive the Mobile App Accessibility (MA) certification mark from the Korea Web Accessibility Certification and Evaluation Institute under the Korea Federation of Organizations of the Disabled.

The certification reflects efforts to improve accessibility and convenience for people with disabilities, older adults, and other users. These efforts also gained international recognition on August 18, when the app won the Tourism for All – Destination Inclusivity category at the PATA Gold Awards 2026 in Sarawak, Malaysia.

(Tourism for All - Destination Inclusivity)

More recently, Incheon Easy was selected for the Ministry of Science and ICT’s government-funded Data Voucher Program and is preparing an AI travel assistant tailored to travelers with accessibility needs. The service will be further enhanced so that wheelchair users, older adults, and families with infants and young children can easily find accurate information on mobility and accessibility at major attractions and facilities.
