Incheon City’s Special Judicial Police Crack Down on Illegal Practices in Food Delivery and Online Meat Sales

The Incheon Metropolitan Government announced that from March 10 to April 18, it carried out a six-week crackdown on illegal practices such as violations of meat hygiene and country-of-origin labeling at restaurants offering delivery services and businesses delivering livestock products online.

This inspection was launched in response to public concerns about hygiene and origin tracking in food and meat products ordered through delivery apps and online platforms.

Focusing on restaurants listed on popular delivery apps and those in densely populated areas such as apartment complexes and university zones, the city discovered violations at six businesses, including failure to comply with hygiene standards, false or missing country-of-origin labels.







Incheon to Support Young Adults Preparing for Rural Startups and Settlement


The Incheon Metropolitan Government announced it is now accepting applications for the “2025 Rural Youth Empowerment Program in Incheon” until May 13. This program supports young adults preparing to start a business or settle in rural or fishing villages.

Hosted by the Island Development Support Center, the program aims to promote sustainable growth in Incheon’s rural areas, where population decline is a growing issue.

Eligible applicants are youth aged 18 to 39 who currently live in or wish to settle in rural areas of Incheon. In the case of Ongjin-gun, individuals up to age 49 may apply under the local youth ordinance.







Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra Seeks Young Collaborating Musicians for 2026 Concert


The Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra is recruiting young soloists for the 2026 Incheon Young Artists Concert, a program designed to discover and foster local musical talent.

The audition is open to orchestral instruments. Applicants may freely choose a full concerto of their choice, allowing them to showcase their musical abilities without being limited to a set piece.

Eligible candidates must currently be in the first year of middle school to the second year of high school, be homeschooled residents with at least six months of registered address in Incheon, be attending middle or high school in Incheon, or be born in Incheon.





Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture Listens to Voices from the Field


The Incheon Foundation for Arts and Culture will hold a series of artist meetings under the title HOW ART YOU? to engage directly with the local arts community.

The meetings begin with the performing arts sector on April 30, followed by sessions for literature in May, visual arts in June, and traveling meetings in July.

This year’s HOW ART YOU? will also include outreach to Ganghwa, a region that has had limited access to previous discussions due to its physical distance.
