Incheon City Launches ‘Lifelong Education Voucher Program’ for Vulnerable Groups
Incheon Metropolitan City is launching the 'Lifelong Education Voucher Support Program' to support vulnerable groups such as low-income individuals, people with disabilities, and middle-aged citizens undergoing life transitions in participating in lifelong learning.
Until now, the project has been run by the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Lifelong Education. Starting this year, however, it will transition to a regionally-led initiative organized by 17 local governments.
Voucher holders can freely choose courses that match their learning needs and use the vouchers to pay for tuition and textbook fees at over 3,000 accredited educational institutions listed on the official website (www.lllcard.kr/incheon).
Incheon City Expands Wellness Tourism Ecosystem with 8 New Destinations
Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Tourism Organization have finalized the selection of eight new locations as 'Incheon Wellness Tourism Destinations in 2025'.
The initiative is part of the ‘Incheon Wellness Tourism Revitalization Project’, which has been underway since 2021. The project aims to build a wellness tourism ecosystem unique to Incheon by cultivating the city’s distinctive natural, cultural, and healing resources.
By 2024, Incheon City and the Incheon Tourism Organization have continuously expanded the number of wellness tourism sites. Through various initiatives such as familiarization tours, hands-on experience programs, and online promotions, they have achieved tangible results in attracting both domestic and international tourists while boosting sales for local small businesses.
Incheon City to Host Job Fair for Middle-Aged Job Seekers
On April 29, Incheon Metropolitan City will host the ‘Incheon Job Fair for Middle-Aged Job Seekers’ at the City Hall Central Hall.
This event marks the first installment of the ‘Incheon Permanent Job Fair 2025,’ which will be held five times throughout the year. It is co-hosted by Incheon City and seven partner organizations.
Job seekers interested in participating are encouraged to bring their resume, a valid ID, and copies of certificates to participate in on-site interviews during the event.
Family-Friendly Outdoor Stage ‘Golden Rabbit’ Returns for May
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, the Incheon Culture and Arts Center’s outdoor performance series, <Golden Rabbit>, is offering a lineup of family-friendly programs this May in honor of Family Month.
<Golden Rabbit> is Incheon’s signature outdoor performance series, with no dress code or admission fees.
The performances are held every Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. from April to July at the Incheon Arts Center Outdoor Theater.
