Incheon Launches 24/7 Helpline for Pregnant Women in Crisis

Incheon has designated the Incheon Jamo-won —a local support facility for single mothers—as a crisis counseling center to assist pregnant women struggling with childbirth and parenting challenges.

The Jamo-won will operate a 24-hour emergency hotline, offering real-time support to expectant mothers facing psychological or physical distress.

In addition, the center will handle protected childbirth services, allowing pregnant women to receive prenatal care and deliver their babies at medical institutions without disclosing their identity, should they wish to remain anonymous.

Incheon Steps Up Protection for Children and Teens Against Digital Sex Crimes

Incheon has announced plans to strengthen both preventative education and victim-tailored recovery programs for children and adolescents, who are particularly vulnerable in today's digital environment.

In collaboration with the local Office of Education, the initiative aims to proactively prevent emerging digital sex crimes—including deepfake pornography and online grooming—and to provide swift, personalized support for victims.

Recognizing the urgency of the issue, Incheon proposed the initiative in advance and successfully secured funding for it. As part of the program, officials will visit elementary schools to deliver customized, in-person educational sessions.

Incheon Introduces Standardized Wedding Pricing to Promote Affordable Marriage Preparation

On April 24, Incheon signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Gyeyang-gu Family Center and local wedding service providers at Incheon City Hall to launch the “i-Plus Wedding Support Program.”

This initiative, part of the city’s broader low birth rate response strategy, aims to ease the challenges faced by engaged couples—such as limited wedding venue availability and burden of soaring costs.

The newly introduced standard pricing plan categorizes essential wedding preparation services—such as studio photography, dress and makeup, planning and setup, floral arrangements, and catering—into three tiers: basic, standard, and premium. The tiered structure offers transparent pricing options to help couples make more informed and budget-conscious choices.
