Public Security Checkup is a proactive prevention activity participated by government ministry, local governments, public institutions, civilian experts and other key safety supervisors for the field-based safety management. It will be carried out for 75 days starting on February 15 to April 30.
○ Period : Feb. 15 - Apr. 30 (75 days)
○ Subject
- Central department (affiliated special administration organizations & public institutions)
- Local governments (affiliated public institutions), private organizations, experts
- Private facility owners, managers
○ Target : All government department are subject to safety control
- ranging from hardware (ex. buildings, facilities, etc) to software (ex. laws, regulations, practices)
- from legal safety control targets to security blind spots
․ safety target facilities and materials by the laws and regulations of the central and local governments
․ traditional markets, large sales facilities (ex. department stores), ferries, cruise ship, etc
․ disaster risk district such as steep-slope lands, embankment & retaining wall, dosshouse, etc
- from targets selected by government ministry and local governments to safety reports and suggestions submitted by general public
○ Safety Evaluation Report & How to Report
- (For facility owners and managers) Please observe the facility you are owning or managing carefully, and conduct a safety check in accordance with a checklist developed, distributed by the ministry and office concerned.
- (For general public) Please report to national security report portal (
http://www.safepeople.go.kr) any types of surrounding safety hazards that you think it's dangerous, such as streets, transportation, sidewalk, manholes, embankments, and etc.
※ Corresponding district, town or city will take safety measures over safety hazards first and notify the results to the reporter.
