The city conducts water quality evaluation of the beaches every year in order to protect the health of the visiting tourists and the citizens.

Area of assessment: Jung-gu (Wangsan / Eurwangni / Silmi / Hanagae)
Ganghwa-gun (Dongmak / Daebinchang / Jogaegol / Minmeoru)
Ongjin-gun (Ongam / Guridong / Sagot / Moraewool / Seopori / Batjirum / Gulupdo / Janggol / Iille / Jackeunpoolan / Janggyeongni / Sipripo)

Method of analysis : Analysis on two species of micro-organism (enterococcus, colon bacillus)
No. of tests: Once before opening, twice a month while the beach is open, and once after closing)
Testing agency: Health and Environment Research Institute under the Incheon Metropolitan City
Legal basis: The Act on the Use and Management of Beaches

Please be advised that all of the 20 beaches qualified in the test for this year. All citizens are encouraged to enjoy the beach.
