Information on the 2017 Training Program for Middle School-level Literacy Education Instructors in Incheon Metropolitan City

The Incheon Institute for Lifelong Education is looking to enhance the fundamentals in deciphering text used in real life situations among Incheon’s illiterate population by promoting literacy education among adults across the city. To develop instructors equipped with the necessary expertise in literacy education at the middle school equivalent level intended for adults who are illiterate or have received low levels of education, the Institute is offering the “2017 Training program for middle school-level literacy education instructors in Incheon Metropolitan City’ so please make sure to look for more details if you are interested in the program.

 
Overview of the training program
  ❍ Program title: 2017 Training program for middle school-level literacy education instructors in Incheon Metropolitan City
  ❍ Program details: Introduction to literacy education, Planning and development of literacy education, Pedagogy for literacy education, Management of classes and organizations for literacy education, Literacy education network, and the Value of literacy education and mission for instructors (6 areas)
  ❍ Program hours: total of 39 hours (in-class learning 24 hours+field assignment 15 hours, additional flipped learning 2.5 hours)
  ❍ Eligibility: approximately 30 participants ※ priority given to Incheon residents, applicants from other regions can apply
  ❍ Program duration: May 17 (Wed) ~ 19 (Fri), 3 days (total 24 hours)
  ❍ Venue: scheduled for Jangmi (Rose) Hall at the Incheon Metropolitan City Hall (29, Jeonggak-ro, Namdong-gu, Incheon)


Eligible applicants and selection process
  ❍ All submitted documents and applications will be reviewed by a judging committee. Once the review is complete, the committee will select the program participants
    - (Primary application review) the Institute reviews whether the applicant is eligible for the program and checks if all required documents have been submitted
    - (Secondary documentary review) judging committee is convened to review the portfolio of each applicant
    - (Tertiary selection review) upon review, participants are selected by point order (highest to lowest)


Other items
  ❍ If a selected applicant withdraws from the program, the applicant with the next highest score will be selected as a replacement.
  ❍ If submitted documents are proven to be illegal, missing, or false, the selection can be revoked at any time. All submitted documents will not be returned.
  ❍ Participants must specify their personal information, phone number, e-mail address correctly. Applicants can be eliminated from consideration if the provided information is incorrect.
