Incheon begins Emergency Disaster Assistance payments and opens dedicated Public Assistance Desk

Incheon will begin Emergency Disaster Relief Assistance payments for all Incheon citizens suffering from the ongoing spread of COVID-19.

 

(Eligibility) Residents of Incheon Metropolitan City residing in Incheon as of March 29, 2020

→ The registered “head” of each eligible household must apply on behalf of the entire household (refer to the resident registration ledger)

 

(Application Period) May 11 ~ May 31, 2020 (online application)

May 18 ~ June 18, 2020 (offline (on-site) application)

 

(Application/Payment method) Apply online via the official website of your credit/debit card company (from May 11)

→ “Points” will be credited to your credit/debit card (from May 13)

Apply at a bank branch affiliated with your credit/debit card company (from May 18)

→ “Points” will be credited to your credit/debit card

Incheon e-EUM Card (apply online or offline: from May 18)

→ Incheon Metropolitan City government website (online) and Community Service Centers at each Eup/Myeon/Dong districts (offline)

Other paper (physical) gift certificates (apply offline: from May 18)

→ Dong-gu Love Gift Certificate: Administration and Welfare Center in Dong-gu

Q1) How much can I get under the Emergency Disaster Support program?

Q2) What form will my Emergency Disaster Support payment be in?
○ Credit/debit card, Incheon e-EUM Card holders

- Online (Offline) applicants: “Points” will be credited to your Credit/debit card, Incheon e-EUM Card account

Q3) When can I receive my Emergency Disaster Support payment?
  ○ Once you submit your application, the credit/debit/Incheon e-EUM card you have specified will be credited with your Emergency Disaster Support payment in approximately two days.

Q4) Is the Emergency Disaster Support payment from the Incheon Metropolitan Government different from the Emergency Disaster Support payment offered by the central government?
○ Both payments are part of the same initiative (payments draw from a budget that features central government funds+funds from Incheon Metropolitan City and each Gun/Gu districts)

Q5) Can I check how many people in my family are eligible for the Emergency Disaster Support payment and how much each family member can receive?

○ You can check your eligibility online at our official website from May 4, 2020.

Q6) Does the Emergency Disaster Support payment have an expiration date?

○ Yes. Your Emergency Disaster Support payment will remain valid until August 31, 2020.

Any unused amount will become invalid after the expiration date.

Q7) What if I have mobility issues? How should I apply for my Emergency Disaster Support payment?

○ You can request our “Mobile Application” service. Our staff will visit you at your home to help you apply for your Emergency Disaster Support payment.

- Available only for elderly citizens and disabled citizens residing alone
