Sri Lanka Wrestling Squad Finishes Field Training Invited by Incheon

The Wrestling Squad from Sri Lanka, the lastly invited country by Weak Sports Nation Support Project ofOCA-Incheon Vision 2014 Program promoted by City of Incheon as a legacy business of 2014 Incheon Asian Games, completed the entire training session.

 

This field training took place for 15 days from August 28 to September 11. Coach Lim Dae-won who is the coach of Environmental Corporation of Incheon Wrestling Team supervised it and conducted joint training with the Environmental Corporation of Incheon and Incheon Physical Education High School Wrestling Team. It helped Sri Lanka Wrestling Squad to improve their skill.

 

During the training session, the athletes were provided with professional exercise prescription test and sports consulting as a performance improvement program at the Center for Sports Science in Incheon and expressed their appreciation that it was very helpful in setting the future training direction.

 

In addition, they experienced Korean culture by visiting the traditional garden at Wolmi Park in Jung-gu to try on Hanbok, Korean traditional costume. They also enjoyed Korean fashion and beauty by making an eco-bag by coloring Dancheong, traditional Korean patterns at the Intangible Cultural Assets Education Center of Incheon Metropolitan City.

 

Coach of Sri Lanka Wrestling Squad, Yakdehige Rajith Chandimal Fernando said, “I expect the athletes who participated in Vision 2014 Program Field Training to achieve positive results in the upcoming competitions based on the skills acquired through the training.”
