Incheon Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok said, “Incheon is no. 1 in the world in terms of its biopharmaceutical production capacity, and is emerging as a major player in the pharmaceutical and bio industries. As for the medical devices industry, however, we’ve only taken our first few steps. Fortunately, I believe we can generate some good synergy in the medical device industry as well by utilizing the wealth of experience we gained in the pharmaceutical and bio industries, and by leveraging our robust infrastructure in the bio industry.” The Mayor added, “With some active support and aggressive investment, we want to establish Incheon as a world-class city for the entire bio industry.”
