Incheon Metropolitan City (Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok) and the Incheon Tourism Organization (President Baek Hyun) announced that they successfully held an exclusive roadshow for local businesses and travel agency representatives in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on Nov. 12 and 14, 2024.

This event, in which 11 member companies of the Incheon MICE Alliance and 6 medical institutions participated along with local industry representatives, is significant in that it worked together to raise awareness of Incheon as an optimal city for tourism and MICE as well as to attract tourism and MICE demand.

Particularly, in the business consultation meetings held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, a total of 280 consultations took place, of which about 30% were positively evaluated for attracting actual tourists and hosting MICE events in Incheon, expanding the actual visits of Vietnamese tourists to Incheon.

In addition, they strengthened Incheon's promotional network through signing a business agreement with VTC, one of Vietnam's major state-owned broadcasters, and visiting Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV), while laying the groundwork for attracting actual tourists through business agreements with the Hanoi Tourism Association and local Vietnamese travel agencies.

Director Kim Eun-hyo of Incheon's Tourism and MICE Division said, "Vietnam is one of the largest markets for Korean tourists and MICE groups, and through the exclusive roadshow jointly participated by the local MICE Alliance and medical institutions, I believe we have laid the groundwork for actively attracting Vietnamese tourists to Incheon in the future." He added, "We will continue to make efforts so that many Vietnamese tourists can visit Incheon through ongoing attraction efforts following this event."
