Incheon Metropolitan City (Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok) announced the successful hosting of the “2025 AI Technology Trend Seminar” on June 16 at Songdo Get Pearl Tower.
Under the theme “AI Transforming Daily Life, Innovating Industry: Opening the Path to the Future Together,” the seminar welcomed over 150 attendees, including corporate representatives, research institutes, academia, relevant organizations, and the public. The event provided a valuable platform to enhance local industry competitiveness amid rapidly evolving AI technologies and to foster insight and a shared vision of future society.
The seminar featured expert lectures on practical AI technology applications in industry and future societal trends, followed by a unique discussion session with AI-generated representations of the Four Sages. The program concluded with enthusiastic interest and engagement from participants.
AI experts leading the industry in and out of Korea spoke during the sessions and shared their experiences of technological shifts and strategic insights.
The first speaker, Kim Pil-ho, Advisor at POSCO DX, presented “POSCO’s Preparation for AI Autonomous Manufacturing,” detailing POSCO’s smart factory implementation, digital transformation journey, and examples of physical AI technology applied on manufacturing floors—demonstrating the potential for innovation within traditional industries.
