Incheon to Start 'Child Dream Allowance' Next Month... '1 Billion Won for Having a Child' Fully Implemented


In addition to the government's child allowance, Incheon will implement the 'Child Dream Allowance' project, providing 150,000 KRW per month to children aged 8 to 18 starting next month.

Incheon City announced that the 'Child Dream Allowance' project will be implemented from August 1st as part of the '1 Billion Plus iDream' policy, which supports all children born in Incheon with a total of 100 million won until they reach 18 years old.

The '1 Billion Plus iDream' project operates by combining existing national and local subsidies amounting to 72 million won, with an additional 28 million won from Incheon City's own budget, supporting expenses such as childcare fees and meal expenses.

Mayor Yoo Jeong-bok stated, "I expect that Incheon's proactive measures to address low birth rates will expand into a comprehensive national policy at the government level to encourage births."Bottom of Form





Installation of Smart CCTV along 3.7km of Incheon Seunggicheon... Creating Safe Walking Path


Yeonsu-gu, Incheon City, announced a plan to establish a smart safe walking path along Seunggicheon, a prominent local river. 

The district aims to install 30 intelligent smart Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) by the end of this year across a 3.7km stretch of green buffer zones surrounding Seunggicheon, enabling prompt response in case of emergencies.

Yeonsu-gu secured 1.7 billion won in national and municipal funds for creating the safe walking paths and related facilities after being selected for a grant from the Ministry of Science and ICT in April.

An official from Yeonsu-gu stated, "We are pursuing this project to prevent crime and provide a safe walking environment for residents." They added, "In the future, we plan to expand the smart crime prevention environment to include smart technology in lighting facilities, signboard, and other areas."




Incheon Coast Guard Urges "Wear Life Jackets While on the Water this Summer"


Incheon Coast Guard is launching a campaign to encourage the wearing of life jackets during the summer vacation season.

This campaign aims to increase the public's usage of life jackets and raise awareness about maritime safety. 

Incheon Coast Guard has placed life jacket stickers at various locations including the main office, 9 local police stations, and entrances of Lotte Mart in areas such as Geomdan, Gyeyang, Bupyeong Station, Yeongjong Island, and Samsan.

According to the Korea Coast Guard, out of the 1,800 people involved in coastal accidents last year, only 139 were wearing life jackets. 

Among the 120 fatalities and missing persons, 110 (91.6%) were not wearing life jackets, as reported.

An official from the Incheon Coast Guard emphasized, "The importance of wearing life jackets cannot be overstated. To stay safe in the water, it is crucial to wear a life jacket."




Seogu Nokcheongja Museum Host Pottery Workshop... Running from August 7th for 3 Days


Seogu Nokcheongja Museum in Incheon will hold the '2024 Summer Vacation Pottery Workshop' from August 7th to 9th for three days.

This workshop, themed 'Shaping Dreams with Clay: I am a Potter,' aims to teach elementary school students about pottery-making processes through hands-on experience and to foster creativity by offering a new understanding of clay as a creative material.

The workshop will accommodate a total of 80 participants with 40 in the morning session and 40 in the afternoon session. The fee is 30,000 won per person for the three-day workshop, inclusive of material and firing costs.
