Multicultural Students at Incheon Information Industrial High School Qualified as Baristas Two Years in a Row
All of 15 students participating the barista program offered at Incheon Information Industrial High School for multicultural students attending middle and high schools in Incheon are qualified as baristas.
Incheon Information Industrial High School is the only public institution that provides commissioned vocational education in Incheon. The school offers courses such as hotel culinary, graphic design, pet care for high school seniors in the area.
This barista vocational training course is part of the ‘Customized Vocational Education for Multicultural Students in Connection with Vocational High Schools’ project by the City Office of Education. All students in the program overcame language barriers and were qualified with passion and efforts in both written and practical exams over the course of 12 sessions.
These students will have a graduation ceremony at Incheon Information Industrial School on the 25th.

The number of passengers using the Incheon coastal passenger ships this summer is expected to increase compared to that of last year.
According to the Incheon Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries, it is expected that a total of approximately 104,000 people will use Incheon coastal passenger ships over 18 days from today (the 25th) until the 11th of next month.
It is expected that the 28th will have the most passengers of 9000, and on the 27th, 8000 passengers are expected to use the ferries.
The Incheon Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries plans to implement special transportation measures for the summer vacation season, including adding more trips of ferries from 1260 to 1474, additional of 214 trips.

Incheon Gye-yang Cultural Center Operates “With Wood Carving” Program, a Traditional Craft Course From Its Cultural University Program
The Incheon Gye-yang Cultural Center will run the 2024 Cultural University traditional craft course, “With Wood Carving Workshop,” every Tuesday from August 6th to September 10th. The sessions will be held at the Sinbi Hall on the 2nd floor of the Gye-yang District Office.
The traditional Korean craft of “wood carving” involves creating sculptures of Buddhist deities and other figures out of wood. Hammers and chisels are used to carve the woods, transforming them into arts.
This program is targeting middle school students and older residing in the district who can actively engage as members of the Gye-yang Cultural Center.
