Incheon Global Campus Achieves 94.1% Enrollment in Phase 1, Accelerates Recruitment of New Universities


The Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) is accelerating efforts to attract new foreign universities as part of the expansion of the Incheon Global Campus (IGC).

Considering that the first phase of IGC, which already hosts five foreign universities, has achieved a student enrollment rate of 94.1% (4,255 students), IFEZ sees an urgent need to push forward with the second phase of the campus expansion.

IFEZ aims to attract five additional universities to the second phase of the campus, with the goal of creating a global campus that will accommodate 10,000 students.




Incheon City to Award Performance Bonuses to Contributors of Foreign Investment Attraction


Incheon Metropolitan City will provide performance bonuses to citizens and public officials who have actively contributed to attracting foreign investment and promoting regional economic development.

The city plans to allocate a budget of 105 million won to distribute performance bonuses for projects such as new and expanded factories, research facilities, new growth industries including advanced technologies, development projects, and initiatives with significant economic impact and job creation. Last year, approximately 25 million won in bonuses were awarded for two projects.

An Incheon City official stated, "We will continue to explore and implement various incentive measures to attract further investment."




Incheon City Strengthens Ongoing Response System in Preparation for COVID-19 Resurgence


In response to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, Incheon Metropolitan City has announced that it will strengthen its ongoing response system to proactively address a potential resurgence of the virus.

With the rise in COVID-19 cases, there has also been an increase in the use of treatments, particularly among high-risk groups.

Individuals suspected of having a COVID-19 infection can receive diagnosis and testing at general medical institutions. If diagnosed as positive and eligible for oral treatment, they can obtain prescriptions and medications at designated hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.

For medication, recipients of medical benefits can receive it free of charge, while those covered by health insurance will incur a co-payment of 50,000 won.




Songam Art Museum Explores the World of Buddhist Art with Special Exhibition 'Shinjungdo'


The Incheon Metropolitan City Songam Art Museum has announced the upcoming special exhibition ‘Shinjungdo - Human Desires’, which will open on August 18.

The exhibition will feature around 10 selected ‘Shinjungdo’ paintings from the museum's collection. In addition to the display, visitors can participate in an augmented reality (AR) experience program and educational programs on folk paintings and traditional Korean decorative painting ‘dancheong’.

The exhibition will run from August 18 to March 2 of next year, and admission is free. Visitors can attend without prior reservations by simply visiting the Songam Art Museum.
